Just noticed that Ole Miss plays 2 matches this Tuesday, which is odd for mid-week.
That gives them 8 matches within the first 8 days. That seems like a lot to me, especially for a solid program.
Anyone know what they are thinking on this - perhaps coaches mentioned it in an interview or something?

I believe Dayton used to play a morning match that the school's would send kids to as a field trip. With the first match at 11am I'm guessing it is something like that.
These girls played 9 matches in 3 days in club. The first 5 of these are at home, and I'm guessing neither match will be as much work as a 4 hour practice anyway.

The morning weekday match idea for inviting middle school/elementary kids is a great idea! I've seen it for basketball but never thought of it for volleyball. Comparing college matches to club tournament is a bit of a stretch I think. Club matches don't have the length, intensity or power of the college game. And after being pushed to 4 in the morning match, Ole Miss lost a 5th set heartbreaker in the nightcap. So they definitely got a workout today. It just seemed odd to me to play a Tuesday double-header after a tournament so early, which is why I started the thread. Have never seen this done except for at D3 where teams were trying to save money and still get in a lot of matches. I'm guessing it won't be repeated in the future after this result.

Yeah, I'm guessing Ole Miss was signing on to 6 sets like the first two vs McNeese, not what they got.

Impressive win for them over an SEC school, I know its Ole Miss but how many times has an OVC school beaten an SEC school?

They were 3-10 vs the SEC in 2013 as well. UT Martin was picked to finish last in the coaches poll this season. Not a good sign for Ole Miss.
