Shouldn't comment on the Brazilian for the very reason I don't know if she has talked to her partner. McPeak is a good guess, but no. Might be one of her former partners.

I did hear a pretty interesting rumor about a top American player making a comeback with a todo ben foreign player. Could be true. Time will tell. No thanks to karlpopper who would not spill the beans but I did hear at the World Tour Finals that the Brazilian that may be Misty's partner next year on AVP is none other than Juliana which seems to makes sense given that it is unlikely she will qualify for the Olympics...total conjecture but that is the rumor I heard...not sure how that works with playing on domestic AVP tour...I know they let Pedro play a few years back with Casey Jennings so maybe there is precedence...

So a player who's team is currently ranked 5th in the world (and 2014 World Tour champions) is going to give up that $200,000-plus annual income she's had for the past decade to play on the AVP tour with it's limited schedule and prize money? Huh. The only way I can see it happening is if the Brazilian federation (whom she has clashed with in the past) has decided to cut her loose, which I suppose is a possibility. But Hell, stranger things have happened. Pedro playing with Casey was a one-off deal - Pedro was suspended from the World Tour at the time. And it wasn't an AVP event, it was a Cuervo tournament. At the same time, my gut instinct is that the AVP would make it work just to get Misty playing full time again.

My apologies for not spilling the beans, but I did give some pretty good hints

This seems very unlikely to me. I am going to look into this further.

No mystery Misty is training to return just watch her FB posts. This is going to be fun to watch, the masters of defense and shot making taking down the taller slower teams.

Taller certainly but I dont think Misty is winning a footrace with too many current players If your VB I Q is high and you are really good at reading arm swing then you are already 1 or 2 steps ahead of the quickest player on the beach. It rarely takes more the 4 steps so its not really a footrace out there

It rarely takes more the 4 steps so its not really a footrace out thereThose things are very helpful (and necessary)but footspeed is still very important. Why is Nick a much better defender than Todd right now? Speed. Watch some late career Mike Dodd for a perfect example. Guys would take their best swings and Mike would pop them up like nothing, but on a lot of very average shots he couldnt get near them. Also watch the second match Misty played against Lane/Summer in her first comeback event where she and Brit got worked. Speed matters a lot. That said, I think Misty/Julianna are the second best team on tour next year although thats more a statement about the awful quality of women's play in the US right now.

Misty will be in better shape playing with Julianna next year if that happens so you really cannot compare this year to next year. I can tell you this nothing is set in stone right now. From what I gather the AVP will let Julianna play in 4 events and if she does she would like to play with Misty. Right now Misty is working on healing her knee she injured in the last tourney and getting her Dream In Gold volleyball club in order. Anyhow only time will tell I guess, It would be pretty cool to see this happen.

From a business standpoint why not let Juliana play all the events. 1. it gets Misty playing which is a huge boon, but even without that it keeps every event from becoming April/Kerri trying to hold the second best team under 25 combined points

I do not know why 4 events is what I heard. Could be scheduling as Julianna is still trying to make the Olympics. Wasn't there some silly ass rule about Manhatten Beach tourney having to be American players or something like that? Like I said it will be interesting to see how this plays out or even if it does as nothing is set in stone yet.
