For all intents and purposes, yes. Serbia has qualified. This Eurovolley Tournament is irrelevant in terms of the Olympics except to the extent a team earns enough points to climb into the top 8 CEV teams not yet qualified, who will then participate in a CEV Olympic Qualification tournament at the end of December / first week of January.

I know others have suggested this, but I wish the OG qualification process was a little more logical. Something like having the winner of each pre-Olympic continental championship automatically qualify (Asia, Europe, NORCECA, South America, Africa) to get the global participation that the IOC / FIVB apparently wants, and then have one World Qualifying tournament among the next 16 ranked unqualified teams to select the 7 other teams to qualify from wherever they may be. Wouldn’t that adequately combine the desire for geographical diversity with the desire to have the best teams qualify? In such a system the CEV teams especially might not feel so unfairly left out. Or am I woefully naive? I completely agree with you. Hopefully, this changes in the future. The good thing is there is a chance that 3 other European teams can join Serbia in Rio. One from the European qualifier at the end Dec/Jan, and the other 2 can be top 2 finishes in the World Qualifier.

Wait, hasn't serbia already qualified? Are they just playing for bragging rights now? No, they played for European Championship! Strange things, some people in Europe actually cares about European Championship!

How much home crowd will help Dutch girls to win? They won Europe only once, 20 years ago. In 2009 they also won silver medals loosing to Italy and beating host Poland. Russia in 4.

Serbia beat Turkey in three very easy sets for the Bronze. I don't know what's going with Turkey. Are they lacking talent or should they make a coaching change?

But Gozde, the Turkish OH, is super fun to watch. I hope Turkey gets it together before Ankara in January so they can at least finish top 3.

It's scary how much better this Russian team can get as in the past tournaments (WGP and World Cup), they have been missing key players. In the WGP, they didn't have Startseva or Kosheleva. In the World Cup, they didn't have this crazy middle blocker Zasynko (?). Now, they don't have Scherban. This has allowed other players to step in and develop. Ilchenko who is only 20 is playing some big games at OH.

Serbia beat Turkey in three very easy sets for the Bronze. I don't know what's going with Turkey. Are they lacking talent or should they make a coaching change? They just got Fehrat as HC after sending Motta back home to Brazil, and he communicates better (no language barrier) and brings more energy to the team. A fourth-place finish isn't too bad for Turkey, considering how solid Serbia, Russia and Netherlands are right now. Also, this tourney was the A team's first appearance together this year, in which everyone returned (Gözde and Naz had been out rehabbing injuries).

Missed this thread with all the college stuff.
I think professional women's and college should be two separate sub-forums, would make it easier for fans to follow.
