I picked Minnesota for my PTW pick...so with my record this week, that gives a clear edge to the Illini. Nah. Gophers are taking this one in 4.

Ellanois better play a lot better against Minnesota than they did against Wisconsin if they want a chance here.

20-17 IL. Lots of blocking errors so far. Hitting percentages are pretty high for both teams.

20-20 now. Birks blocked, prompted an IL TO. Looks like a good crowd on video.

26-24 MN wins set 1.
Entertaining first set. Teams traded points most of the way. MN's block is not closing as efficiently as normal. I think Rosado is making some nice digs and even got a kill with a push into the opposite corner. Poulter is doing a good job of holding our middles for a split second.

MN up 4-2. Our first challenge of the night. Hugh looking for a touch on the block, and wins the challenge.
MN 5-1

Looks like this one put the board to sleep!
Illinois won Set 2 25-22, and are now up 17-9 in Set 3.
Roustio making a case for permanent right side hitter for the Illini!

Looks like MN will have to win in 5. Honestly, I thought this could go either way. But, the blowout in the second is disconcerting.

IL challenges the touch on the block and wins. Both coaches are 1 for 1 on challenges.

MN making a run here at the end of the 3rd set. IL TO 24-21.
It might be too late in this set for the Gophers, but they've grabbed some momentum back and hopefully can keep it going into the 4th.

IL wins set 3 25-22. Takes a 2-1 lead.
After 3 sets, IL hitting .295 to MN's .298.
Most of IL offense is coming from Birks (18K) and Strizack (15k) on the left.
SSS has been a little off tonight and got pulled halfway through set 3. Handley coming in and doing ok, but the set was too far gone.
