BYU looks like 6 strangers playing on the same side of the net.

I think you could count on one hand the number of excellent serve receives that BYU has had. And they don't seem to be able to be effective at all OOS. Alexa Gray needs some help on offense. Who else for BYU can put the ball down??

I know BYU is good but they may not make the sweet 16 this year for the first time in awhile.
Their block is usually their bread and butter and that's not working for them tonight still a top squad but I am unsure how good they are.

Pacific is hitting .291 to BYU's 0.095. And I would attribute a lot of that to BYU's very poor serve receive and defense.

Gray no doubt isn't playing well, but all credit to Pacific for keeping BYU OOS. As much as the announcer wants Pacific to "just get the serve in", it's the aggressive serving that's keeping BYU OOS.

BYU still has not hit their stride offensively, but their block is starting to show up. BYU 15- Pacific 11. TO Pacific.
17-12
Set 3 to BYU 25-16.

BYU up 10-3 in set 4, although to watch them, they still don't appear to be playing really well. Pacific is making many more errors in sets 3 and 4.

These two teams seem real slow to me. Gray might not make all american this year??

As nit-picky as Sundy can be, I'm surprised he's not calling out Gray for not getting off the net so she can take an actual approach in transition.

Set 4 to BYU 25-14. Heading to 5. Both announcers are pretty brutal, but especially toward Pacific's setting. They seem to really like Elman and Gotterba.

These two teams seem real slow to me. Gray might not make all american this year?? Whenever they are OOS, Gray tends to get set 10 feet off the net and roll shots the ball, so she takes a ton of swings, but not as many quality swings as it seems she had in the past. She is getting dug a lot more this year. Last year I remember her just elevating over the blockers and tatooing the floor. I don't know what the difference is this year.

Elman is going to hit the century mark in attempts in a match this year. She's at 66 through 4 and that's with sets that have varied from "not close" to "BLOWOUT"

Pacific really needed this one, they will be a bubble team again.
