Bottom line is that we fans aren't the ones out there on the floor, and on any given night past records and statistics don't mean anything, and depending on the circumstances, just about anything could happen.

Improved is an understatement. They are a different team since that meeting. However, I've seen SCU, they are really good, particularly if the Muratores catch fire. I would say a ranking list might be in order to see how they stack up. Long Beach St. Mary's UCSB Santa Clara Pacific USD LMU Northridge Irvine Pep Fullerton Idaho Portland Utah State Gonzaga UC-Riverside This is just an opinion but it shows my belief that the Big West is slightly stronger both in depth(they do have ten teams) and individual rankings. Sorry Gaucho fans, I just felt that St. Marys two wins against Stanford puts them on top temporarily. If you're talking CURRENTLY, then you should consider that Pacific has improved since that early meeting. Of course, I know nothing of how Santa Clara has changed since that match....
