OK, so we know that Sanders is in to give the Wahine more offense right? And Gregory, despite being a solid blocker, was pulled because the lack of offense?
I think this is where I'm going to get confusing so sorry if I do.
Well I've noticed the one rotation that gave Hawaii problems was when Kamana'o was up with Gregory and Arnott and the offense kinda went down. BUT what if the rotation is set so as much as possible, when Gregory is front row, there is also an outside AND a right side hitter up. That way, there are three attackers, including Gregory instead of Gregory and Arnott. The three attackers would help compensate for Gregory's offense. Prince should be up when Kamana'o is up because Hawaii can get a lot of offense from Prince.
This may also be a good thing because Gregory's strenghts are her quick hits. Her slides aren't particularly effective so with a right side hitter up, Hawaii can still get solid offense from the other end of the net.
Did that make sense at all? Sorry if it was non sense but I always wondered.

That fully made sense and that is actually a good idea.

If she truly is the M2 and HI is running a true 5-1 then the M2 will only be in the front row with the setter for one rotation. There are ways around this but that would require running a 3MB attack and putting your weakest middle opposite the setter, it takes special personnell to pull this off as lefts need to play right for one rotation and 1 middle will need to play right as well, maybe even left side for 1 rotation.
