They refused ... which probably means they couldn't due to some other commitments. What a missed opportunity. My guess is their volleyball facility did not meet the requirements to submit a bid, it seats just under 3,000.

I hope Stanford makes it to the Regional Final for the rematch against USC. Going to be tough to beat all the teams to reach the FF but I at least have hope More Stanford fans will show, no question. Lots of them in SoCal and you can drive or easily fly in from NorCal.

Before advancing Stanford to the regional finals - they are a 75% home favorite vs. Colorado State and just a 55% favorite against Kansas (if they meet those two teams). Stanford has about a 40% chance of winning their 1st three matches.

The stats say 40%, but the San Diego location skews a little bit in Stanford's favor IMO with no time change, local fans that can travel for support, and many team members on home turf.

Creighton may have gotten the #16 seed, but I totally believe in UNC to beat them in the second round.

It's frickin' BS than out of the nine teams the B1G has in the tournament, not one single one of them is in this bracket.

What a missed opportunity. My guess is their volleyball facility did not meet the requirements to submit a bid, it seats just under 3,000. Apparently they changed that requirement for this season. Kansas is playing in their 1,300 seat gym (I assume that will easily sell out).

I like this draw for Stanford. Basically they got a gift. No Washington, No Wisconsin, No Nebraska, No Texas, No PSU. I don't mind Stanford facing Kansas or USC again. And especially NO Michigan!

I got Stanford, Missouri, USC and UNC advancing to San Diego, easiest of the regionals IMO, USC should easily advance tot he final four,

Let's not get ahead of ourselves ... I agree that Stanford should be a clear favorite over all except USC, but losing sets by more than six @ home to Cal and CU does not build confidence. You and I know they have exploitable chinks in their armor. And who doesn't?

I got Stanford, Missouri, USC and UNC advancing to San Diego, easiest of the regionals IMO, USC should easily advance tot he final four, USC lost by two points in the fifth set to Stanford earlier this year. Even Mick doesn't think the Women will "easily" advance to the Final Four... so why should you?
