Yet if he loses, he's going to sulk like no other. I see you are seething since Duke didn't even make the tournament. Too bad Hawaii couldn't bounce them in straight sets in the first round like last year. That was much easier than facing a tough team this year. You really need to get help, though, for your inferiority complex and anger problem. It's not very becoming. For gods sake, Duke is playing in a far highly competitive conference, arguably the third best in the country. Hawaii's conference competition is basically a joke. How many teams from the conference made it to the NCAA? Exactly.

Hawaii can't help the fact that they play in the Big West just like Duke couldn't help the fact that they got their a$$es handed to them by a Hawaii team playing in a joke of a conference

ESPN 3 is free online. All you need is internet access. but it requires you to provide a cable company then directs u to enter a username and password . That's what I did. Anyone else had to go through this step? Yup same problem I have. Ugh sucks. I don't watch TV so bummed out that internet is not sufficient.

Ecstatic that Hawaii won! I knew TCU would be tough but didn't think it was gonna come down to a 5th set score of 15-13! I say this is great though, it will definitely light the team on fire against TAMU.

Must be a Hawaii issue.
I live in Vegas and have no TV or cable subscription.
I do not have to sign in on espn3.com. I watch the Wahine matches for free, no problem (as well as all other matches not named Longhorn or SEC Network.).
Guess the monopolies in Hawaii are stickin to ya!

looking ahead to a match that is happening this year...
In looking at the extended box score something I thought was interesting. It seemed that TCU started to alter their game plan on who to target in serve receive after a little while as Manu-Olevao was targeted about 40% of the time and IIRC they didn't target her at the beginning of the match. Total set attempts for Hawaii was 195 of which 159 were from either setter who was on the floor (81.5%). Of the other 36 attempts by a non setter it represented 9 assists thus kills (25%). That does not take into account errors so we cant get a true hitting percentage and I am not looking thru the entire play by play to assess it.
After looking at that stat and thinking in my mind TAMU did a decent job out of system I looked at their stats as well. For the Aggies Aiple had 96 total attempts for 40 assists for .417 (Hawaii was .254...TCU was a much tougher opponent although I liked the TAMU CC serve receive and general back court defense). 20 balls for the Aggies were set by someone other than setter resulting in 8 assists/kills thus 40% without known hitting errors. Aggie setter 2nd ball touch was .827 compared to .815 for Hawaii.
TAMU is a much better transition team than in years past especially out of the middle attack either in front of or behind the setter, so will be curious of these stats stay the same...I think 40% OOS non setter kills (without known errors) is really good and 25% for Hawaii would be above average

Yes, Duke is in SUCH a competitive conference that they got bounced in straight sets by that team from a far lesser conference last year and couldn't even make the tournament this year despite the committee's and RPI's love for the overrated ACC. Ouch.

Stop with the Duke Hawaii stuff...Duke had a good team last year who met up with a better team in the NCAA. Nothing to do with conference affliation at all.

It's been frustrating. OTOH, they have been pretty successful getting other teams out of system so that has been their strength. They will need to play much sharper in order to try to accomplish that today. I only saw TAMU play against Missouri and they were impressive. The Wahine will have to play much better than yesterday to stay in it.

Looks like only the Wahine and Marquette went 5 sets today. I was more impressed by the 3 set wins by LMU over stanfod and WKU win over arizona. WKU is a sleeper having beaten Wisconsin early in the season at Wisconsin. anybody know anything about jessica lucas ... their stud 6 ft offensive setter... i'm picking them over BYU.

Okay, so Hawaii has a 41% - 47% chance of making it out of this sub-regional. Good luck to the Bows. Play with heart, play with grit, start fast and go out and Bang!
