First of all, student-athletes sign NLIs with institutions, not with coaches. If you’ve ever seen an actual NLI, it clearly states as much. Secondly, I assume you are insinuating that Crouch should honor Haley’s commitment to Schirmer... which you are implying is what? Guaranteed court time? I doubt that was expressed as a condition for the scholarship given. You clearly weren't talking about the legality of an NLI when you said "quite literally probably all that is wrong with the attitudes of young student-athletes these days. Being part of something, honoring your commitment". I think it is ridiculous to chastise the commitment of an athlete when the institution fired the successful coach that recruited her because of infighting with an employee who is facing major jail time for fraud, and replaced him with a coach that may not be a good fit for her in coaching style and philosophy and who may be bringing in his own players to intentionally undercut her and to limit her value to the program. I don't know where the truth lies regarding Crouch, but I disagree strongly with you giving the institution a blanket pass while blaming the player. Not chastising anyone in particular. Also not giving any institution a free pass because of signed NLIs. But you seem to have a beef with USC for specific reasons and are making more assumptions than observations.

And for what it’s worth, I will be slow to criticize a player for a decision she makes regardless if the situation around her changed or not. It’s a freedom we always have - we can leave our jobs, we can transfer schools, pro athletes can switch teams every season, why should a student athlete face backlash for changing what school she wants to study at and compete for?
I work in corporate America and every contract I read or sign has a very clear buyout clause - by law. I’ve used those clauses to end contracts with vendors. Should I have been chastised for not honoring my commitment?
I decided to leave Minneapolis after I had planned to spend my life there. I even broke my lease to do so. I should be ashamed because I did not honor my commitment?

I should be ashamed because I did not honor my commitment? Sure - sounds great. The problem here is that no one has stated they want to transfer. No one is transferring. The issue I have is that people on this board enjoy suggesting that a student-athlete SHOULD transfer because they are not playing as much as they "should" according to XXXXXX reason.

This is what I can recall. Anyone have other updates? Transfers in: Duff (MB - 4 years left) Denny (RS - 2 years left) Bustamante (L - 1 year left) 2019: Barra (L) Horin (MB) Owes (OH) Wekse (OH) 2020: 6'2" OH/RS - Tommi Stockham (Vegas Aces) 5’8” DS/L - Sam Hastings (Skyline) 5’9” L/DS - Keonilei Akana (Mānoa Beach) - Crouch 2021 6'0" S - Elle Glock (VCN) - Crouch 6'2" MB - Katelyn Smith (TStreet) - Crouch 6'0" MB - Tyrah Ariail (TAV) - Crouch For class of 2020 they added a hitter, Malaya Jones from Southern California. I believe she plays for a4. And also for 2021 Katelyn smith is going to be an outside hitter, despite being a middle for club. The recruiting classes Crouch has started are becoming very strong! vballfreak808

Did Humphreys leave the team? Her Instagram doesn’t mention vball and I don’t see her on the media day posts either.

Yes Humphreys is off the team. Great girl, but would more than likely not get a whole lot of playing time.

Botkin appears to be practicing on the RS in some recent videos on Insta. Any ideas?
