OK gang, is there anyone who can tell me accurately about Lanier? What is going on with her? Was she sick? If you watched the Texas State match, what signs did she give that Texas picked up on? The horns attacked he whenever possible, and were successful. Botkin simply had a bad game, probably too jacked to be playing against them, and overall way too many serving errors. I didn't think the Longhorns looked that good, but they certainly played better than SC.

I heard Lanier got cleared about a week before to play after hurting her forearm or back or something like that. Whatever it was, I’m positive she was not 100% healthy.

Has it occurred to anyone that these 2 are simply over rated. Their careers to date have been defined by unfulfilled potential. It happens.

Lanier’s stat line against TX was fine. She carried then team and far outperformed M. White (another 1st Team AA).
BTW Lazaro’s hand is broken!

Will Schrimer begin to look for transfer opportunities? It seems that she is now behind two freshman (Weske and Owes) on the depth chart.

Cue Hawaii poster who are going to say shes coming to the Islands lol. She’s Poly with tats! Would fit in fine I mean, she was recruited by Hawaii, and I believe we were one of her final choices. BUUUT, Hawaii is pretty loaded at the pins (whens the last time a Hawaii team could say that?). But I for one would welcome her. Shes a really talented player.

Its not like the other ones who were saying a player from Kalamazoo michigan, with no ties to the islands, was going to come.

Has it occurred to anyone that these 2 are simply over rated. Their careers to date have been defined by unfulfilled potential. It happens. Lanier was 1st team AA and led an unheralded team within 1 point (and a bad call) from the final four. If they could have gotten her back to the front row, they likely would won the Florida match. You have a warped sense of "unfulfilled potential" and "overrated". I agree. Being a #1 recruit is such a curse, virtually impossible to perform up to expectations. Lanier has had a solid career that many pac-12 hitters would love to have. Overshadowed by Plummer but KP had a better supporting cast.

From what I have heard about her I was told she is just happy to go to a great college for free Her brother and one of her first cousins are on the SC Football team. So there’s another reason she’s likely to stay put.
