My choice, without any need for contemplation, would be Hugh McCutcheon. Beyond Coach McCutcheon, I would stick with Hambly.

@rec HALL, home football game to go to B1G conference championship, a healthy Frantti and Girls Senior weekend! Good luck Illinois.

Big final weekend for Illinois and Hambly. By any measure, if Illinois does not make the tournament, then this team and program is underachieving. It is time to let Poulter run a more diverse offense.

I think they're working with what they've got. If you want Poulter to run an offense that works for 1v1 matchups you need the personnel to do it. On both sides of the ball with 1st and 3rd touch. If they had athletes that could pull it off, I think they would have made that adjustment by now. Maybe those younger athletes aren't ready to run with Poulter yet. I do agree they need to find a way to score better, but I think they're stuck athletically and developmentally at this point in the season. Scheduling tough does make it harder to experiment in real life. I hope they learn.

Rutgers doesn't play volleyball very well.

Does tomorrow make or break our season? trojansc has Illinois in regardless, but everyone will certainly sleep easier if the Illini take care of business in Rec Hall tonight. Please.

If you're an Illinois fan - your other favorite team today is Creighton. If Illinois loses today they are either one of the last four in or first four out

I do agree they need to find a way to score better, but I think they're stuck athletically and developmentally at this point in the season. Until Hambly begins to prioritize the development of a fast-paced, high-scoring offense, ILL will continue to be a mediocre BIG team. Yep, we got more team blocks than PSU - and who cares? PSU's attack was fast-paced and relentless ... and they won. This has happened over and over again - feels like groundhog day. Jordan Poulter is capable of running for speed. Without tempo around her, we are wasting her talent.

Is this the wake up we need to make changes? Part of me hopes that whatever long term goals they have for Poulter get realized sooner rather than later.
