Over the years they've brought in some very good Chinese players. Is it the answer? Possible! I still believe that Mizzou needs to figure out a way to recruit and keep local talent in the area. Sure would be nice

Puerto Rico setter 2017, 5-9 commits to Mizzou - Andrea Fuentes. Saw some YouTube video on her, very impressive, OH from the same team has also committed!

Puerto Rico setter 2017, 5-9 commits to Mizzou - Andrea Fuentes. Saw some YouTube video on her, very impressive, OH from the same team has also committed! Very nice. I'll have to look her up and see. So for 2017 they have 6-2 PR outside, 5-9 PR setter, and 5-10 Leketor outside from Lutheran South, STL. I think they still need 1 or 2 more to fill this class.
I also see Prepvolleyball has MU at #23 early preseason poll. They have projected starters below Missouri •OH – Carly Kan, 5-9, Sr •OH – Sydney Deeken, 6-1, Jr/Paige Perego, 6-2, So •MB – Alyssa Munlyn, 6-2, So •MB – Emily Thater, 6-3, Sr •RS – Julia Towler, 6-2, Sr/Kira Larson, 6-2, RJr •S – Courtney Eckenrode, 5-9, Jr/Ali Kreklow, 5-9, Jr •L – Alexa Ethridge, 5-7, Sr

[br Think Caffey may have a chance at cracking lineup as well

Deeken not healthy? I think the transfer Perego will surprise people. She was a huge banger in HS/Club.

I see that Missouri has their first 2018 commit (Saige Ka'aha"aina-Torres) from Hawaii.

MU must have some kids coming in from overseas. Just lost a good OH to Iowa. Wonder who they have coming in to replace this player for next year. Just having 2 outsides on the team isn't a smart move. Running a 6-2 with a NAIA setter wasn't either this year. Although Eckenrode and Kreklow aren't All-American setters, they do a good job of distributing the ball. They aren't flashy, but they do their job. It is hard for the hitters - especially Kan - to adjust to both setters, after swinging away at Molly Kreklow's sets; Kan has spent a lot of time compensating. As for outsides, which you already stated, Reuter has transferred to Iowa to join Keala. Kan and Deeken were the only two on the roster until Paige Perego transferred from MO State.

Hopefully she is the start of a successful 2018 recruiting class.

She also hits a heavy ball if they had her set and hit in a 6-2. Talented kid. But, she is not playing RS/S. Not realistic. Tape from last year (#5 in black jersey, near side):
