Agreed, but even they need settting. Rice has been hitting Iosia's sets, she may have to adjust her expectations. Can it be that difficult to find a setter? Dilfer who went to Pep would have been an upgrade imo. Hoping the Gauchos have someone up their sleeve. They just got Juley from Wisconsin. Cool, heard she can play. I would probably move UCSB to a top 4 finish in the BWig now that they have a solution at setter.

Rice has problems passing and Ruddins will she even be healthy?? Doesn't Juley have injury issues as well? I personally would be very skeptical that these injury prone players will make such a big impact.

I'm very pleased to see CFUF is becoming competitive. I found the following on PrepVB when reading about the 79 top setters. All are up for the Andi Collins Award.
Rachel Hall, 5-6 S, Huntington Beach (California) – Only 5-6, Hall played much bigger than that for the Oilers in 2015. The Sunset League MVP for the second straight year averaged 10.4 assists and 4.6 digs per set en route to earning First Team All-County and First Team All CIF Southern Section honors. The Cal State Fullerton recruit led Huntington to the CIF Southern Section 1AA semifinals and has been called by coach Craig Pazanti “the definition of a true leader.”

Hannah's sister, Erin, struggled with injuries and that led to her quitting volleyball. Hannah did have a foot injury that kept her out a lot of her junior year of high school. Other than that injury in the past, I believe she's fine.

UC Irvine picks up Haley Desales a transfer hitter from Washington State. Desales suffered an ACL injury during her high school senior year. I heard it takes 6 months to a year plus to recovery from ACL injuries. So hopefully playing along side with some former club teammates, Desales will start to play at UCI like her former self.

the article said she was visiting not transferring to UCSB. if she left because of academics then I don't foresee her playing next year and will probably be red shirting.

Doris Bogoje improved a lot during the season but she still does not have the athletic ability or skill level that BG requires. I would not be surprised if she does not come back next season. I too doubt she will be back.....put on too much weight, and just wasn't in shape....got fatter as the season went on...too much good so cal living

The Beach will be thin at the MB position this fall with only 6'2 Ashley Murray returning. Murray battled injuries all season and wasn't as dominant as her freshman, breakout season. RS//MB Peyton Grahovac was so effective on the right side that BG may choose to keep her there. The Beach, however, does bring in from China 6'4 MB frosh Yizhi Xue who could see time at the MB2 position. Given these circumstances, BG may still have a spot on the roster for Bogoje.
