Our daughter, the 13yo one, has decided to forgo middle school volleyball and swim for the high school junior varsity instead. This is a whole new world for us, she being our third daughter, all of whom played volleyball.
The 7yo son is rethinking his position on volleyball spectating. Not so bad, he thinks, relatively speaking.
On a side note, some of these girls can really move!

Swimming is tough. It's not for everybody. The first excuse kids give for quitting swimming is, "It's a lonely sport." Just you and the water. Practice is grueling. Just laps after laps, plus flutter and dolphin kick drills. Many are grateful they didn't drown during practice. When practice is over, you're so hungry and weak you can literally eat a horse.

just tried the impossible whopper from the burger king for the first time. not a bad veggie (meatless) burger.
The double Beyond from Carl's Jr is better, but for someone who doesn't eat meat, I appreciate the availability of the impossible.

This is why I quit water polo in college. Thought I was an ok swimmer, but the number of laps we did during the practice was grueling. Well, let me back it up. When we first started practice it was a bunch of running because the pool was out of commission and the club president was trying to find an alternate pool to use. Found the pool at a nearby college and went there for my first in water practice. As I said, the laps were grueling but the worst was when contact was made...the opponent leans on your back. I sank like a rock. Two in-pool water polo practices and I called it quits.

Chinese relatives marry each other 23 times in two weeks in alleged scamAnd the funny part is earlier on they blamed foreigners for the shortage of houses and skyrocketing housing price in China. So they restrict foreigners from buying only one house, and yet there is still a shortage of housing AND the price keeps going up. Sad part is they have the dumbest laws here as well as a result of hording. A friend of ours owned a property from before he got married, and when he did get married they could not take a loan out for a new house because of the house he already owned (from his father). Well, he could but he would have to put down a larger down payment (I think its like 60% down payment) and the loan rate is higher. Friend put the house on the market but they also found a house they really liked and had to make the down payment quickly, but could not due to the amount needed. They got a divorce so the wife can purchase the house under her name, place the first home buyer down payment of 20% and take out a loan under the standard interest rate. Funny part of this whole sad situation was during the divorce proceedings, the wife was straightening out my friend's collar, tidying his hair...the gov't officer asked them if they were really getting a divorce. Not surprised by the article, though. Think gov't officials were also caught with 30-40 housing units during the cleansing early on in Xi's presidency.

Another sad part is that the housing developers are not watched. Probably why some officials were caught with 30-40 housing units.
For example, when we were shopping for our house, the salesman told us we need to make a decision quickly because come Chinese New Year, the developer was going to raise the price. No reason why, they were just going to raise the price.
Another tricky game the housing developers play is over the years the gov't will step in and tell the developers they could not raise the price. OK, cannot raise the price then we're not putting any new units up for sale. Units are already built, so its not like they need the money for construction. Housing market cools down, gov't restrictions are laxed, new units are up for sale again at a higher price.

i am experiencing difficulty with my a/c unit. the unit tripped a circuit in my apt. at least 3 times this weekend. when this happens, the unit will blow air but it won't cool anything.
it's not so much a problem if i am home. i just flip the switch and things cool down. the issue is being away at work. if it trips during the day, i won't know until close to 6pm. i'll get home from a long day's work only to enter a swamp.

I guess there is something wrong.
What do you mean "tripped a circuit"? Is this a GFCI trip or a current trip? And how is it that it will still blow air but not cool? Usually the compressor and the fan are on the same power supply, aren't they?

My A/C was doing something similar as far as blowing non cooled air. I could fiddle with it and make it blow cold again but if I wasn't home it was BAD. On the third trip to my house, the A/C guy determined that I needed a new thermostat. Then it turned out that there was a problem with my "bundle of joy" which is A/C speak for the bundle of wires in the attic. Then the new employee that they were training fell through the ceiling into my garage.
So my advice is to sell the house.

"Red" sounds like a GFCI fault. Be careful with those. As the saying goes, circuit breakers protect your wires. GFCI protects you.
