That's really cool! I want Misty's autograph. I have a Vandal mini ball with all the team's autographs on it. But, I suppose that isn't quite the same thing. It means a lot to me, though.

At one time Pg, Jr had Misty's autograph. We made it to a LB game when they were handing out (nice) volleyballs and she got one. ;D Then Misty signed it. ;D ;D Then the dog chewed it up. Dang dog.

I met and talked to Misty a couple of times at the AVP here in Hawaii. I didn't even think about getting her autograph.

Apparently there was an Alumi Volleyball event before the game.
After they announced that Misty was there and congratulated her on her success, she ended up signing autographs for the rest of the match.

FYI- Bellflower is a city near Long Beach
A Misty day in Bellflower
By Kevin Butler Staff writer
BELLFLOWER — Volleyball star Misty May brought an Olympic gold medal as bright as her smile to Bellflower's 36th annual Liberty Day Parade Saturday. More than 5,000 people lined Bellflower Boulevard downtown to get a glimpse of May, who served as grand marshal during the celebration of the city's 47 th anniversary of incorporation.
May wore an Olympic jersey and her medal as she waved to fans from a red Chevy Corvette. Earlier, she complimented the look of Bellflower's downtown area, adding that she appreciated the city's effort to preserve old buildings.
"It's so cute," she said.
Although May, 27, lives in neighboring Long Beach, her best friend resides in Bellflower.
"I guess you could say I have family here, too," she said.
The crowd also waved and applauded three well-known Bellflower residents: Paralympic skiing champion Jason Lalla, 13-year-old pilot Breann Farfan and Miss Greater Lakewood Teen Stephanie Brink, who recently won the Miss California Teen USA Pageant.
"I love this city very much," said Farfan, who in July finished a round-trip, cross-country flight from Compton to Oshkosh, Wis., accompanied by a licensed pilot.
Nichole McGahey was excited to see the volleyball star.
"She's awesome," she said. "She's a good role model for our kids. My daughter is 4, and she loves her."
Spectator Cathy Perez recalled watching May play for Cal State Long Beach's winning volleyball team.
"I was impressed that she would come to Bellflower to be our grand marshal," Perez said.
Bellflower resident Rob Kamstra said he and his two sons sit at the same spot along Bellflower Boulevard each year to watch the parade's marching bands, dancers and cheerleaders from area schools.
"Every year, we look forward to it," he said. "My boys love the bands. It's a great community event."
The downtown parade was also an opportunity to show off an area the city has revamped in recent years in an effort to lure and retain businesses.
Parade watcher Marc Baley said downtown, which has a new outdoor movie theater, is much improved.
"It looks nice," he said. "Hopefully, we'll get some businesses back in Bellflower."
