Who's been training Missy Owens these last years?
6 ft'r with a couple of years being out of sight/mind, entirely.

6'1 Missy Owens redshirted her freshmen year in 2014. In 2015, Owens played back up setter to two time All Big West Conference first team setter, and the 2014 BWC Player of the Year, Jenelle Hudson. Last season, BG used Owens sparingly as a serving specialist and she was effective in that role. A lot of fans are rooting for Owens to take over setting duties in 2016 as her six foot frame will provide another dimension to the Fortyniner defense. However, she will face stiff competition for the starting setting position as incoming freshman Morgan Dewyer comes to the Beach highly regarded; and, Dewer's quicker, setting style may give her the edge.

Fab50/BWC all-star takes it with MBs. Campbell AAA beach player and CIF all-star was not a setter.
The question is whether, with so many LBSU players in/out of Mizuno, former Joy AA is able to give Owens pointers with reps on her own time?

what's an "individual doubles champion"? An oxymoron, of course.

Is it too late for their Volunteer Ast. to snag someone from the CN tundra?
BG says that the new MB from China is going to start. Is she that good?
Why can't Joy M.-F. volunteer as some type of assistant now that she's no longer with UCLA?
I hope that LB is stronger than they've been in a good while. The girls are building their legs up for sure in the sand.
Would be beautiful to see their Owens turn out to be something like a Cheri Boyer. I know it was a different era. I know that moon high sets aren't vogue any longer. Boyer did mix it up in 89, however.

Can't say that I prefer Korean to Japanese but a good helping of kim chee always goes nicely with a bowl of steaming ramen on a cold winter's day. BG misses a good setting coach.
