Here's the conference standings after last nights match - conference record followed by their overall record.
Texas 8-0 16-0 Nebraska 8-0 14-1 Missouri 5-3 10-5 Colorado 5-3 10-5 Kansas State 5-3 11-6 Texas A&M 5-3 9-5 Texas Tech 3-5 7-7 Baylor 3-6 9-9 Kansas 2-6 11-6 Iowa State 1-8 8-9 Oklahoma 0-8 8-8
Looks like the conference championship will come down to Texas and Nebraska unless one of them falls off a bit. But almost as interesting is the current 4 way tie for 3rd. Kansas is a bit of a disappointment at 2-6 after going 9-0 in non-conference play.
If this trend continues the Big 12 will most likely get 6 teams in the NCAA tournament unless KU turns it around in the last 12 conference matches.

Does anyone know how the Big 12 handles who is the conference champion in the event of a tie? There has to be some criteria to determine who gets the automatic conference bid to the NCAA Tourney but is that team also the conference champion or are they considered co-champions. If Texas and Nebraska were to split this year and continue to win the rest of their matches, we could have the situation come.

If I remember correctly, the Big 12 uses tie breaks to determine the conference champ. Teams might be considered co-champions but the NCAA only allows 1 automatic bid. I think the tie break is the following 1) Win-loss record in conference matches 2) Head to head competition (if Texas wins both matches against Nebraska, they get the bid) 3) Games won against tied teams (if teams split and Nebraska wins a match 3-0 and loses a match 2-3 against Texas, Nebraska would get the bid as they won 5 total games) 4) Total points won in the series 5) Coin flip

You enter it into excel table tables as html then use a little program you've already written to remove the extraneous html garbage and conver the table html < and > tag thingies to VT style [ and ] tag thingies.
What could be easier?

Just to show how lazy I am, I have Microsoft FrontPage that will write the code for me so all I have to do is copy/paste it here (at least I think that will work - I'll try it tomorrow on something)
