Would you ever believe that a team with Chrissie Zartman, Hedder Ilustre, and Katie Olsovsky would result in HEDDER ILUSTRE winning an MVP? for 30 kills? hehe, Yup!!

1998: St. Francis and Francis Parker Win Fourth Titles
After a slow start, St. Francis Mountain View put the pieces together on a fantastic season by winning it's record-tying fourth title. Stacy Millichap dominated the match with 23 kills and 20 digs for the Lancers.
Later in the day, Francis Parker of San Diego also made it four crowns with a win over Sacred Heart Prep Atherton in the Division V match. Stephanie Saragosa, a 6-2 middle blocker, dominated for Francis Parker with 14 kills and hit a record .600 to break the long-standing mark set by Kristal Attwood in 1989.
Jennifer Carey set things up nicely for Newport Harbor and April Ross had 28 big kills to lead the Sailors to their third title with a tough four-game match win over Lincoln Stockton in Division I.
In a game that was close from start to finish, Bishop Montgomery Torrance edged El Molino Forestville in five for its second state crown in three years in Division III. Hedder Ilustre, the divisional MVP, had a tournament leading 30 kills and Katie Olsovsky had 26 to lead the Knight.
In Division IV, Valley Christian Cerritos completed an unbeaten season with its second straight state championship with a win over Linden. The Lions of Linden made an unprecendented seventh trip to the state championships. Stacy Rouwenhorst had 14 kills and five serving aces to lead the Crusaders of Valley Christian.
