Penn State makes this listing a joke. It should be weighing the most recent performance more heavily. Any bloke can make a projection right once the season is over. And yes there was a lot to like about Penn State after week 5. Their most impressive victory was a stunning sweep of West Virginia to open the season. Then you need to point to the 3 set home win against Howard that I am sure was the envoy of every Top 20 team. Although they lost a set to perennial power Hofstra they were able to battle their way back for a 4 set victory. Yes, this was the highlight of PSU's season after Week 5. With this kind of resume, who couldn't have known that Penn State was destined to win their 1st 8 conference matches since the B1G isn't really all that good?

I'd give more, but that's all I have.

I respect tPSu, but the jury is still out on them. The next couple of weeks will give them a chance to stake their claim. Maybe they will rise to #39 by then. The ranking is a sham.
