Traci Dahl Skinner is being replaced at Indiana State University effective immediately. Looking for replacement for Head Coach in this very tough and competitive conference.

...Does anyone know what Stony Brook PAYS their volleyball coaches? That's right, they don't pay them...not in Long Island dollars anyway.... FYI, New York State payroll figures have Nicole at $99,000 and Dan at $45,000. Combined that's over the Long Island average. There are D2 coaches around here surviving on less.

Wow, for volleyball in the northeast I think that's pretty good.

Not sure what vbnerd is complaining about. I would think that was discussed in the hiring process. If they didn't like the salary, then they shouldn't have taken it. If they didn't get paid, like Chicago State, then I understand.

If that's true and not due to some bonus or buyout figure then I spoke from outdated information. When they hired Pawlikowski, other candidates were given a salary estimate in the mid $60's, which because of the high cost of living on Long Island is equivalent to $15-20k less in most other places.
Mea culpa

99? Wow, for volleyball in the northeast I think that's pretty good. The cost of living on LI and the taxes in NY eat up most of that But, still, it's not THAT bad, especially for, ostensibly, doing something she enjoys. Plenty of people get by on less in that area. My sister makes about 140k (plus bonus) in San Jose and when I visit all I hear are people making between 125 and 175k who complain about the taxes and cost of living and how they "can't get ahead" - meaning they can't get a house or a house that's in the exact location or as big as they want, don't have as much disposable income as they would other places, can't save as much, and are keenly aware that on their same salaries they could live like kings in some other areas. But, they have jobs, decent roofs over their heads (even if a rental or a small condo/house), some disposable income. It's hard to feel sorry for them.
