As we get underway with the league schedules. just curious which coaches might be feeling the heat a little bit? With the amount of movement last off season in the coaching ranks, will this off season be the same?

I gotta believe that University of Toledo and Bowling Green have got to be pretty toasty. They are both coaches at the end of their contracts with some pretty poor seasons in their time there. Gotta imagine that they are both going to have to do something big in conference to stay and I don't think that will happen

Mick is a magician. People like Haley and Shoji and Rose will leave when they want to.

People put Mick down out of hatred that he's lasted so long, or that he's not very nice, or that they would like to see the dominoes that fall if USC were to open?! No other point as the guy wins and recruits well IMO.

I like Mick. I can name over a dozen coaches I despise. Mick's not one of them. Of course, I haven't had to play for him or "interface" with him often, but the few times we talked, he seemed like a grandfather figure to me. With that said, I'm perpetually looking for grandfather figures so perhaps that's why I've taken a liking to Mick. We haven't had a chance to go fishing or camping yet but I feel it's just on the horizon.

I am working on my annual list of - well crap I got that sooo very wrong over the weekend. But my hunch is, last year was an epic year for the power 5 (ASU, OrSU, Ark, NW, WF, CO, TTU, NCSt etc.), this year will be quieter at the top, but very active in the mid-majors the carolina bus leagues.

You're really questioning if a guy who turned a 16-16 team in 2014 to a 2015 33-3 squad with a revamped offense within a year on top of losing one of the best players in the country (Ebony Nwanebu) is on the hot seat??? Get outta here. Mick has had USC at LEAST an elite 8 finish in 5 of the last 6 years. Considering the amount of players that have left the program due to injury/personal/academic issues, Mick Haley has to be given a lot of credit. He dealt with losing Fonoimoana and USC returned the Final Four without her.

But my hunch is, last year was an epic year for the power 5 (ASU, OrSU, Ark, NW, WF, CO, TTU, NCSt etc.), this year will be quieter at the top, but very active in the mid-majors the carolina bus leagues. Only 3 of those 8 Power 5 moves came from "Hot Seats" based on wins and losses, the rest were "issues" and trickle-down, so the chances for an exciting offseason remain. Cal has to be burning at this point, and a move there could open 2 Power 5 jobs. The Bigs (10 and 12) may stand pat but I predict at least a few moves from the ACC (Syracuse and UVA are bottoming out, at some point Duke will wake up and realized they've been passed by, even if BC doesn't care) and SEC (doesn't Tenn need to make it back to the tourney at some point? SC in 6th year and no tourney or even sniffing it, UGA is in bad shape).
