Fact. There were complaints at WFU. Not sure if it was player complaints or parents, or both. Fact. WFU investigated the allegations and cleared him. They apparently video practices and they had the video evidence. Fact. He quit WFU, they didn't fire him. How many coaches do we know that were about to be fired but quit instead? I don't put too much weight behind him quiting and not getting fired. True. The timing was peculiar in this case. They could have come to a gentlemen's agreement and be done with it but the resignation came a few months after he was cleared. I doubt that they, the WFU admin, were clever enough to delay the resignation to provide cover. I think they honestly thought they'd passed the crisis point. My point was that these are the facts, debate around them if you will, but everything else is conjecture.

In other words " He's a made man"

First of all, he was CLEARED at Wake Forest www.journalnow.com/sports/wfu/other/wake-forest-clears-volleyball-coach-in-title-ix-investigation/article_51fafe86-9c51-11e4-9d29-3354bb89b72f.htmlSecondly, I spoke to MY experience with him but added the caveat time would tell. Thirdly, I have personally seen an athlete about to lose their scholarship accuse the male head coach of sexual misconduct, emotional abuse, etc. Even had to make statements to A.D. During investigation. Nothing the athlete said was true (as verified by her teammates as well) The coach quit after that season because of the stress on he and his family. The situation all too close to the WFU where again, he was CLEARED. I wasn't there so can not claim for sure the athlete lied or didn't...were you? I speak to MY experiences. Nothing but positive with him & and have seen false allegations before. This is a jobs thread & not a gossip blog so...moving on.

I have no earthly idea what happened there but you said you had never heard those things. Believe them or not, anyone in the volleyball universe, plus those people with HBO and who lived near. Winston Salem and probably many other people all heard about it.

Fact: WFU players avoided passing him on sidewalks so they wouldn't have to oblige him with the hug he made clear that expected from them. Fact: HS players avoided him at tournaments because his reputation preceded him. (The only HC I ever heard teenagers talk about and be creeped out. This doesn't happen arbitrarily.)

Between the ESPN series and public documents, I can back up my facts, can you. Just for record, I have no dog in the fight but I want to separate the facts from the allegations and until you can get documentation to substantiate your claims, they are allegations. Trying to get away from he said she said.

Nothing but positive with him & and have seen false allegations before. This is a jobs thread & not a gossip blog so...moving on. Yes he was cleared. But so was Casey Anthony. I have based what I have said off of parents who's kids have transfers from Charleston and just some parents of Wake Forest students, conversations with past assistants, and talking to a few ex players. I understand he is a pal of yours but to say absolutely nothing happened is preposterous. Phaedrus is correct with the facts that were shown, but as always there is more to the story. So I am speaking of my experiences of conversations with all those above. This is a jobs thread and this is information about a person who took a job.
