Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific will continue to represent Div ii, also an unfair advantage to Hilo w its lava rocks.
For as much as NU enjoys the wins and U$C continues to make several trips out to the islands annually, the Hawaii Small Schools Pairs Day will be a guarantee.

Very rare for an AD to start a beach program without input and consent from the indoor coach (the only program I can think that went that route is Oregon - Jim Moore was surprised to learn he was going to oversee a beach team), since most programs intend on using indoor players and also want the indoor coach to be in charge (even if in name only) of the beach team. And a guy like Jerritt, who has a lot of pull in the Texas athletic department? It's going to be his call.

Kiley Hall and Ashley Engle in San Diego. I was there - a one-off event Kathy DeBoer put together back in...2007, maybe? Jordan Larson/Sarah Pavan beat Cindy Barboza/Bryn Kehoe in the final.

Yeah, I was at that one too. AVCA/CBS Sports "Alt Games." A fairly sad attempt to emulate the X Games. Piggybacked an AVP event in Riverside. Hawaii was there, as was USC and Nebraska. Something to note: Jerritt Elliot didn't bother to show up at either event, sent an assistant both times.

jpros874- women's sports will always have more scholarships that their equivalent men's programs because of gender equity. When they count scholarships they include football in the equation. There is no women's sport, in fact it probably takes 2-3 women's sports to equal football. This is not what gender equity and title nine was suppose to be about, but that is the reality. If you look at swimming, track and field, gymnastics etc........ most will have more scholarships for the women than for the men as deemed by the NCAA. Now sometimes if the limit is for example 12 for men, that doesn't mean that the school has to offer all 12, then just can't go over 12. So first find out what the NCAA limit is for both men and women then see how much money the individual school chooses to put into each program.
