MARTIN AND OZEE SWEEP POOL PLAY AT U21 TRIALS CHULA VISTA, Calif. – University of Hawai'i beach volleyball players Morgan Martin and Amy Ozee had an impressive first day of competition at the USA Volleyball U21 Trials in Chula Vista, Calif. The pair went a perfect 3-0 in their pool, winning each match in straight sets. The freshman pair, seeded No. 7 heading into the tournament, defeated Cali Bunn/Hailey Harward, 21-16, 21-12; Gina Lipscomb/Katie Sarber, 21-13, 21-18; and Alexis Filippone/Megan Muret, 21-18, 21-14. Martin and Ozee will begin bracket play tomorrow with a round of 16 match tomorrow at 11:30 am. PT/9:30 a.m. HT versus the pair of Chelsea Mohl and Shannon Richardson. Should they win two matches tomorrow, they'll advance to Friday's semifinals. The top two teams from the trials will qualify to represent the U.S. at the FIVB U21 Beach Volleyball World Championship in Nanjing, China, June 13-18, 2017.
