The 2017 NORCECA Continental Tour has set its first two tournaments of the season for April 6-10 in La Paz, Mexico and April 20-24 in the Cayman Islands. The U.S. will be hosting a playoff on March 22 to earn bids to represent the USA at the two events... www.teamusa.org/USA-Volleyball/Features/2017/March/21/Beach-Update-NORCECA-BHPSo this will be the no-college-kids version? Without CQs, this is the only way to get in, right? I'm a little behind on the FIVB process these days, so I'll just post up a bunch of made-up suppositions and wait to be corrected.

Find it funny they just announce this 1 week before, so the players have to make travel arrangements, last minute training etc. Is this more on USAV or NORCECA for not having the schedule ready and dropping this on the athletes so last minute? Still no schedule posted on their site www.norceca.net/2017%20Events/Beach%20V/Calendar%20Beach%20Volleyball%202017.htm at least post the two dates above. So this tourney today will determine the 2 USA teams representing us for the next 2 NORCECA's, which are now worth more point wise than a 1 star FIVB 1st, a 3rd at a 2 star event, 5th at a 3 star, not sure for a 4 star since we haven't had one this year and around a 17th for a 5 star major. Money wise worth a lot less as far as I can tell. I am guessing the only way for results will be Facebook/twitter/instagram pages of USAV or athletes that are playing?

Nice win for Betsi & Kelly. I like this team and could see more breakthrough in their 3rd year together.
I thought perhaps Lane & Lauren would have a better showing.
Look out for RP. He may just work himself into being a contender.
Frustrating that these events always conflict with college schedules as players like Sponcil, Claes, Hughes & others could perhaps be winning these Norceca qualifiers.
When will USAV Beach actually start cultivating an environment where exceptional tall athletes have a compelling reason to hit the beach? Or a chance to even try on a Wed?

He may indeed but losing to Mesko/Del Sol is not a positive indicator. Thats maybe the 5th best team on the NVL and should be a fairly easy win for an AVP contender

Maybe Slick should give Del Sol a call?
