Donald ☀️ will drag this lawsuit response out most of the year to keep Kerri from competing. He wants a Kerri Walsh-less tour. Not a smart move by him. There were already fans cancelling the tour stop plans when she wasn't listed in the initial players listed to compete. There will be more now, especially if the AVP management is proven to be in the wrong....
I for one can't wait to hear the AVPs response to this lawsuit. I guess she is either owed the money or she isn't. As much as Kerri loves to compete, I find it hard to believe that this is a fabricated lawsuit because she is pissed over a few rules changes.
On the flip side of the coin, she needs a new agent. One with absolutely no ties to the AVP or Beach Volleyball, past or present.

I wonder how much the NVL would be willing to pay in appearance fees. ;-)

Never thought of that Johnbar. Don't think she would be able to drag April away from AVP though....

Hearing the NVL is losing money and strapped for cash too. Won't something just come in and save Beach Volleyball in the USA? It is a dying sport.

This is just hypothetical, since I'm pretty sure its a pipe dream among pipe dreams: if the AVP, and NVL for that matter, somehow managed to work out a deal and have better cooperation with the FIVB, would that help the leagues be able to stand on their own? I'm not talking about being absorbed into the FIVB or anything, but maybe make some of the stops on tour 3 star events or something. Bring in some cash flow, big attention, etc. Hopefully, this issue gets resolved, but lets be honest: to be accused of not paying up your end of a contract does not look even remotely good for any league. Sure, there are two sides to every story, but still. Not exactly the way you wanna grow the sport/league during these in-between Olympic years.

Hearing the NVL is losing money and strapped for cash too. Still hurting from the loss of Menard('s)? Wasn't that supposed to be Donald Sun? Trying to herd cats.... Yet thriving for college women. And the international circuit.

And the international circuit. College is apples to oranges because its in no way dependent on fan support. International circuit is also not thriving, not in its death throes or anything, but they are now running multiple events with Toyota Pro Beach East type money. Lot of events that were bigger in the past with $75,000 purses now. I'd love to hear someone with more knowledge weigh in on that.
