Is Kerri retired? I can't imagine she has fewer entry points than Claes/Hughes, even with Nicole dragging her total down. Are these changeable? I can't imagine April having too much patience with Fendrick, maybe we will see Ross/Walsh redux by then or at least Ross/Ross

Sarah and Kelly were seeded 17th in Moscow. Don't know how Sarah's 9th (and Kelly's 17th) in Ft. Lauderdale count.

Did they play a NORCECA at some point and I missed it? Or was this the federation's version of a wild card

Or was this the federation's version of a wild card Must be the latter: "Walsh Jennings and Branagh earned their spot at the World Championships through one of four NORCECA nominations. The final field of players will be announced by the FIVB on June 9 with the wild card entries. The United States has reached the maximum number of teams per gender that can compete in the tournament."

I know people have this feeling, but personal feelings aside, she's earned it. It isn't like she's some past her prime player.

She is the 66th ranked Woman in 2017 and a part of the 28th ranked Team.

Its dumb to do world championships admissions this early, but the FIVB just keeps working to make its seeding and tournament draws dumber. For the Olympics they count nine years of finishes, but for the WC, we are suppose to ignore Kerri's five wins last year? Kerri is the 3rd or 4th best player in the world right now. Why would any event want to include some random Czech 17th place finisher rather than the greatest player in women's history when she is still near her prime.

However, she's still better than most anyone else USAV could send there. Not sure I could say the same about Branagh, who's played one tournament in the past two years and last hit an FIVB podium eight years ago (with Kerri). Still, if I'm USAV, why not roll the dice and send Kerri/Nic? Maybe the time off has been good for Branagh and she shows up fresh and in great shape, and maybe Kerri's shoulder is healed up. The other possible choices for the last spot aren't, with all due respect, particularly exciting: DiCello/Stockman, Bensend/Urango, Fopma/Reeves...although Flint/Larsen might be interesting, since you never know what you're going to get from them - a medal or a 25th are both in play.

I think if your going to give it to anyone it needs to be Kerri even though I hate all the drama with her going on right now.
Maybe Kerri had Nichole training harder than ever right now getting back in shape? I would think after all the drama Kerri has something to prove.

Kerri had 9 FIVB podium finishes last year, including 5 wins. She may be on the a slight decline from her apex of prime, but she isn't out of it yet. IF were are talking about pairings just to get a team in, I would have loved her going with a youngster like Plummer.

I know everything is all hearsay at this point, but is there any rumblings about who Kerri wants to partner with full time, assuming that Kerri/Branagh isn't meant to be a long term partnership? (Would be kinda shocked if it is).

I wouldn't be surprised if kerri caves into and just joins. I was really down on how the avp started with their exclusivity but it has been a real fun first few tournaments and the addition of Gold Series has just made the tour more interesting. The best thing is having Tri talk about behind the scenes. It's the best possible thing they could have done, as all of a sudden the tour has characters and personality.
