Did KWJ ever see the contract? Why would anyone require a NDA anyway? Isn't the purpose of a contract esp. with a group of players is so the players can discuss the contract? From what has been said from other players, not KWJ, that players couldn't even have legal representation in the contract discussions. Sorry if this has been rehashed over on other threads. Kinda coming in late. Just kinda confusing to me. Kerri said she saw the contract. The purpose of a contract is to establish the party's obligations to each other. I would be amazed if Kerri did not show the contract to Leonard or at least detail whats in it, but Armato is smart enough to know she wasn't allowed to do so and so he says he hasnt seen it. An NDA could have a variety of reasons, it would make it harder for a competitor to beat or match it, it would keep the players from getting good legal advice after seeing the contract themselves, it would protect Sun's bargaining position among other things That's probably all true. I just find it hard to believe that an NDA for a labor contract can apply to the athlete's lawyer or agent. Seems like that would violate labor law or something. But I am clearly not an expert in this area.

But I am clearly not an expert in this area. Without seeing the contract myself, it is virtually certain this is some sort of independent contractor agreement, a particularly despicable kind of employment contract that gives virtually no rights to the worker and obligates the employer to do almost nothing. WWE wrestlers for example are independent contractors, which is why the fact that everyone you remember from your childhood is dead has not impacted Vince McMahon's bottom line. In general with contract negotiations like this, almost anything goes
