www.teamusa.org/USA-Volleyball/Features/2017/June/20/Beach-Update-Nantong-Ochos-Rios-rosters- my biggest take away from this update is below. Glad to see the young teams on the women's side. On the Men's, would like to see Page with DelSol (don't know the sides, just thought since he isn't playing) "With no shortage of tournaments in July, USAV fans can expect to see new names and more exposure to the partnerships that started in 2017. FIVB Nantong 2-Star Roster Athletes Entry Amanda Dowdy Irene Pollock Main Draw Wild Card In China, Amanda Dowdy and Irene Pollock earned a main draw wild card, and are seeded at 17th to start. The two stayed in China following a ninth-place finish in Nanjing last week, which was their first FIVB tournament together. NORCECA Ochos Rios Roster Athletes Entry Jace Pardon Lara Dykstra Main Draw Katie Spieler Karissa Cook Main Draw Miles Evans Bill Kolinske Main Draw Jon Mesko Syklar Del Sol Main Draw In the third NORCECA tournament of the year, teams will play in Ochos Rios, Jamaica. Jace Pardon and Lara Dysktra earned silver their last time out, in the Cayman Islands. Jon Mesko and Skylar Del Sol will be making their third NORCECA appearance this year, hoping to improve on their best of fourth place at the NORCECA opener in La Paz, Mexico. It will be the first international event of the season for Karissa Cook/Katie Spieler, and Cook's first career international event. Last time out, Bill Kolinske earned bronze with Mark Burik, this time he takes the sand with Miles Evans, in his first NORCECA event of 2017."

Is Evans not playing AVP's for same reason as Page/Kolinske/Jennings? Is Page even playing at all at the moment? I don't see him in the Norceca results but there also isn't a lot of informational on those regardless.
Del Sol continuing to play with Mesko just makes me wonder about where he wants to go in the sport. Him and Marciniak just beat Kolinske and Evans up in Vail in what was somewhat of an interesting match to say the least. I don't see him and Mesko beating Kolinske and Evans.

Took a 9th. Vail king of the mountain?? When I lived in Keystone, always loved that one. (last played in 94) Those teams, that's a pretty good final.

How does Mesko keep getting good partners? He is old and not that good comparatively. I know on one of the NVLs they mentioned he owned a restaurant or bar, maybe some Adam Roberts type action here? He does seem very consistent and easy to get along with, so maybe thats why partners value him

You hit the nail on the head with him being consistent, problem is consistency alone isn't going to beat these better teams, you have to be able to make plays and he can't do that anymore. Skyler played motherlode with Mesko 2 or 3 years ago and you could really see his frustration with him when they hit the crossover and were playing the better teams. I can't imagine playing Norceca's or these bigger tournaments like Laguna Beach. I would think pulling out the 5th place at Laguna Beach for that team may be overachieving considering a team like Page and Paulis took 9th.
