I wasn't there to verify, but was told he is the better of the 2, not that 17 is old, but I would hate for my little brother to be better!

Wow did not realize their ages, but while watching a friend's Facebook live stream their play in match was in the background. There was an awesome rally where (I don't know which one) one of the brothers just konged for what I assume was match point and it got loud.
You could hear people in the live stream talking about how young, and good, they were already.
What a fun experience for them, what are the rules with money regarding a 15 and 17 year old?

If they want to stay amateur, they just have to declare their status. Same as Claes/Hughes last year.

All expenses: travel, meals, hotel, coaching expenses etc.. equates to amount that can be accepted. If you are local, small amount, fly in from FL, large amount. The leftover $ is never spread among remaining teams, lol, kept by host/sponsor.

Watched the YouTube video someone posted and they only hit shots...saw no power. Placek should not have even been trying to block them.

Marcus and Myles are very smart volleyball players. Their ball control is exceptional, they can move the ball all over the court and if you don't block they can bounce. They qualified (top 2 teams in U21) for the USA U21 World Championships and just got back from China. They beat an older Canadian and Chinese team. They are among the best young players in the country. No joke. u21.2017.beachvolleyball.fivb.com/en/schedule#/d20170716

Power will come. If the one kid is 15 years old and able shoot successfully at an avp qualifier level, that's really impressive.

At the time I posted that, the BVB site was showing the 1st round losers with $0 prize money. I see they have now changed it to $500 ($250 each). Wondering if brothers can come up with $250 each in expenses. Thinking that if they staying in a hotel in Hermosa, they should be able to.

They're the real deal and absolutely flustered & beat some very experienced, capable players. You could literally see the lump in Motter & Placek's throats as they straight up chocked at the idea of losing to these kids and hit out 5 straight points on an open net to start the 3rd game 0-5.

That said, Avery & Chase absolutely throttled them, made them look like the kids they are. Compete mismatch as bad as I've seen in main draw.
