Happened to see Brian Cook play ball for the first time this weekend and that guy is gonna be the next big thing. Goes roughly 6'6" and built like Adonis, dude can ball with big ups and a legit block. Once he teams with someone like Chase or Riley McK (vs Roberts), this guy is going to be big trouble for the rest of the tour. Guys gonna be begging to play with him once he accrues more points, you read it here first.

You mean the next Lorenz? Because last month that is who you were riding. I watched his match against Kyle Friend, 1st time I've seen him play. He is big, hits the crap out of the ball. Did well setting and blocking, I'd like to see more from him for sure. Adam played like crap that match. I agree, I'd like to see him with a more dynamic defender. If he had a bit more points, He'd be an option for Riley McKibbon IMO if Maddison stays with Loomis.

Yes, I'm guilty of upping Lorenz but really thought he & Eric could do some decent damage. This Cook guy tho is the real, real deal, no question about it. And hey, he even plays without a shirt on.

Santa Cruz kid, been playing beach since he was old enough to swing at a ball. 6'5," plays pro indoor in Itsly. He has the tools to make some noise on the beach if he decides to make it a full-time go of it. Don't know if that's going to happen, though. There's some serious volleyball genes in in that family - His parents, sister (Karissa), uncle (John Cook), cousin (Lauren).

When does Italy crank back up? Should try to grab McK for Manhattan, have fighting chance even if it means qualifier, should be able to handle that easily.

I thought he left Italy early this year, since he wasn't getting much playing time in Modena. I personally thought he would be a good fit for the indoor national team, but I'm not surprised his game has translated well in the sand.

Adam Roberts doesn't play with someone if they don't have some potential/talent.

Adam Roberts doesn't play with someone if they don't have some potential/talent. He partnered with Matt Heath for a long time

Matt was pretty good anf I think they won some things Some Toyota Champs. and some other big East Coast things, but I think he's talking about AVP success. Matt did hit a stride there, where he was playing pretty good, but I don't think he's ever gotten better than a 9th.

9ths back in that AVP were looked at much better than now. Heath then went and played with Ryan Mariano who was no slouch. Quick search says Heath made almost 20K on the AVP, so probably did pretty well for himself with all the East Coast big money tourneys. Personally, I think 20K on the AVP for career earnings is a good spot for who's made some sort of name for themselves. Whether they did it in a brief career (Rooney) or over some time (such as Roberts well over the 20K), it is high enough that they've got some sort of name recognition. Matt was pretty good anf I think they won some things I thought by potential he meant potential to do something significant on the AVP I probably meant the "/" as potential or talent. Heath probably more on the talent side.
