I see a Walmer, a Benes (East Coast!), a Cobb, and Fuerbringer/McKenzie. Love the second and third gen teams

not a ton of teams for a "nationals" event. It's an invitational of sorts - USAV high performance teams, some regional champs, and teams from the national programs of Canada, Puerto Rico, and the Czech Republic. There's been some high-quality volleyball played. It's remarkable how polished some of the kids are getting by age 16 or so. Also remarkable that a couple of college coaches are either unaware or don't care about rules regarding contact with recruits. I watched a veritable smorgasbord of NCAA violations yesterday.

Good stuff. How about the boys side - good volleyball played or is it rough? They probably aren't getting the technical reps the girls get but not real sure what the club systems are like for boys in California.

Boys play can be pretty uneven. In this age range a lot of them look like colts - skinny, all arms and legs that occasionly get in the way of each other. Plus, all they want to do is crush the ball and strut a little. But there are some guys who look like they've got some good raw talent.

Jayden Whitmarsh as well. What do you think of Jayden Geddy? A top USA player in the future? Too early to tell, IMO. Good player at the junior level, will likely be a solid player in college, but Jaden could really use a 2-3 inch growth spurt.
