Adam Jewell again? Interesting He's gotta be in his early forties right? Personally I'd save my qualifying to SoCal tourneys unless guy moved to Midwest.

who's going to get rookie of the year?? (if we are going with the statement that Ricardo is a rookie) To me, it's to be decided this weekend. If Zaun and Ed can pull some upsets and make a SF, I think he can get it.

Whichever of Reid and Zaun do better in Chicago should get it. Reid has won more money this year than Zaun, with one less main draw finish. Not sure what the head to head is but Reid won in Manhattan, Zaun, by forfeit, in Hermosa.

I think there is far more to consider in this ROY debate. Reid is playing with one of the greatest blockers of all time. Eric is playing with Ed Ratledge. Ricardo is a stud that can carry reid, Eric has to carry Ed. When Chaim played with Ricardo he took a 3rd and 7th. Without Ricardo, Chaim has a 13th and a tournament that he didn't even qualify for (playing with Reid). I don't want to take away anything from Ed, but Eric stepped up and carried him to the best season of his 15 plus year career, as a rookie. In my opinion, that's what makes a rookie of the year. Not a guy like Reid, who is already not a rookie, that gets to ride and learn from an all time great that has won every single color Olympic medal.

Between Reid and Eric, its Eric because of the lesser partners, but Ricardo had been better than either and if Reid is eligible, and of course he shouldn't be, then how is Ricardo not?

Would be stupid if Reid or Ricardo wins that award. Come on we all know they are not rookies. Would they even be proud of that award and taking it frim Eric.

I agree, which is why I didn't list him. He's had seasons where he has played 10, and 8 AVPs. I think Ricardo would be a bit embarrassed by the award actually. Does he put that up by his FIVB and Olympic gold medals???

My other thought is, could Trevor and Sean sneak past Phil and Nick as team of the year??
Lets say Phil and Nick take a 5th and Trevor and Sean win.
Phil and Nick will have 3 victories and some other finishes
Sean and Trevor would have a win and 4 2nds. They are currently the $$ leaders too.

Reid not a rookie, so he is out, Ricardo technically is, didn't really think about that. Guess the debate is should Ricardo get it.. I say he recuses himself, Eric gets it, we all are happy. Fairy tales, lol, like Nick and Phil not TOY..
