No more morning games, and add a few night games especially on friday's. I know the sport should be under the sun but I think there would better attendance on Fridays if people could get off work and still make a few games. Saturday's as well, I love the sport but i'd rather be playing it than watching it.
I think Seattle's stop suffers from being out in the burbs, if the AVP can't secure space like it does in Chicago or New York find cities that are willing to work with event organizers to get the sport the bette exposure OR start using some of the collegiate beach facilities. South Carolina and Georgia State both have great facilities that possibly could be used. I'm not sure of the foot print of an AVP setup but I guess my point if the courts already exists and there close to a major city it would seem advantagous to rent it out from the college.

Why have Friday day games at all? Whats the benefit to anyone except those of us who stream them rather than work?
More events Fewer teams on the women's side a King of the Beach event
Would all be positive steps for me. I realized looking at all the cool teams in NORCECA that one of the biggest problems with the new tour as opposed to the old, is that teams never break up anymore. The best thing in volleyball is ex-partners meeting after one dumped the other. The first Sinjin/Stokie clash for example or Steffes v Karch, Phil v Sean, or Kerri v April etc. One reason for that (and the big one is FIVB qualifying) is that there aren't enough events. You have two bad tournies and the season is half over and no one wants to make a switch

Avp website has to have the brackets set up. Inexcusable not to have these and having to go to bvb database to look these up. Unless I just didn't figure out where they are.
Gotta have AVP uniforms. Or else it will never have that professional feel to it and it looks like the Avp doesn't take itself seriously. Uniforms are cool with all the logos, names and numbers on them.
Top 3 courts can at least have some bleachers or benches set up. By the time the first folks sit at courtside with their fold up chairs and umbrellas you have to stand to see behind them. After two matches you have no choice but to go to stadium and sit down for a match.
Other than that, not too much comes to mind. I enjoy the events so much I went to an Avp/Fivb event the last 5 years in a row. Have not gone to any other sporting event. On one hand you want it to grow, on the other it is such a breath of fresh air money has not contaminated the sport... yet. But athletes have to make money, or else why bother. Its a tough catch 22.
Just to see the growth of the live streaming and instant replay on fivb, the sport has become remarkably more fan friendly the past few years.
Donalds side out at match point gives you that nagging feeling that anything can happen until the final point has been earned. Another great change for the better.

Uniforms would kill revenue for players, especially as the sport grows. Also I like having players look different, I hate the way all players look the same on the FIVB. Brittany Hochevar's awesome suits or Brooke in t and shorts or Sinjin's visor and Brent Frohoff's headband are part of why I like the sport Sideout at match point is the best rule change I can remember. Kudos to Donald for not just implementing it, but for doing it against player pressure

Can't they still wear their own headwear and bottoms(maybe only for men?).

Nice Work Travis. A couple thoughts to add: 1. Agree 100% on the livestream. Make it part of the AVP Membership. The membership is $25 for the season, but is really only of value right now if you are playing in First or Next events or going to buy a courtside box and want the discount. This gives the diehard who can't travel to events a reason to become a member of the AVP. 2. Uniforms. Tricky topic. I don't want to see Brooke not playing in her old t-shirts, I think that is awesome. Some way to spruce up the merchandise without mandating appearance more than is already done is a good idea. I really liked the AVP Gold Series board shorts that Mark was wearing this year. I am guessing those are for sale. What if the AVP shared revenue with players who wore AVP gear? You are free to get your own sponsorship if it is a better deal for you. If you can't pull that off, we will give you a cut of whatever we sell in exchange for wearing our gear? 3. Local teams are the primary thing that makes the qualifier day exciting. I would be careful about taking them out of that atmosphere for fear that local fans would not have any incentive to come check out what's up on Thursday. I like Thursday at an AVP event. Even though the AVP is not really focused on getting fans out that day. It has some value as a cool venue to watch the local teams battle the up and comers on tour. 4. KOB in Vegan is September is a winning idea. 5. Controversy is part of the game. I like to see how players react to adversity. The idea that we have to get it right at all costs in sports is just not something I buy into to. I also understand that I am saying this as a fan and if my income was impacted, I might have a different perspective. I just don't see it as enhancing the fan experience and generating more revenue. Keep up the great work Travis. Can't wait for next season.
