Injuries happen. Can be from bad luck, overuse or not the proper strength training and the list goes on and on. The only way anyone would ever know if something was going on would be from someone speaking out.. like Hodson. But no one has so it is only fair to assume that it is just bad luck. Does anyone know Sheffield's injury record when he was the coach at Dayton?

No, I don't. I agree with your previous list of various causes. Also, when Illinois was having some season-ending injuries some years ago (they lost setter, Erin Virtue and also a very good libero whose name escapes me (senior moment))...some observers were blaming the playing surface in Huff Gym.

Shady Sheffield indeed! Way too many season or career ending injuries happening in his gyms! So many transfers too! Very little development in the players he’s coached.

Is there some sort of conclusion you are wanting me to draw from this list? I wonder which of his allocated scholarships that he’s already looking at pulling from his current players for transfers in 2018. Anyone want to be a good sport and give Sheffield a head start with some suggestions for candidate transfers from other Big 10 teams?

About Taylor Fricano, She asked to be told of her status. She asked to know if she would make the starting lineup. He didn't think she would beat out Bates, and with Kriskova holding down the RS spot and OHs in Duello and Saunders coming in, he didn't think she was a lock for playing time. She wanted to play, and he knew that. How is that shady? - Over recruiting - Not developing his current players and tossing them aside for players like Kriskova, who Sheffield had transfer in before Fricano left

It was weird... I walked past the Field House earlier today and bunch of people were in B1G gear cackling and throwing pictures of Russ Rose into a cauldron. Probably nothing...

Alarming that so many players have gotten injured under Sheff and have been forced to retire. I implore the moderators to do something about this person that continues to make slanderous allegations. For the good of the board...whatever that's worth. To the extent these false allegations effect recruiting, reputation damage that effects job status or recruiting (small chance, I know), you should take action as these are potentially damaging and illegal and in the public space. Trust me...recruits know that this is an ILLINOIS fan....and it reflects poorly on Illinois.

FWIW, I've heard numerous times that players generally love to play for Sheffield and have lots of respective and love for the program.....
