FWIW, I've heard numerous times that players generally love to play for Sheffield and have lots of respective and love for the program..... So you have heard this in the state of Washington? Very interesting. Well, I have heard that there are other B1G coaches that have no respect for how Sheffield runs his program at Wisconsin. Wisconsin has a very loyal fan base, no matter what sport we are talking about. And, that is a good thing. However, there are just too many suspicious happenings going on within the Wisconsin program, and within the B1G office that seems determined to help Wisconsin be successful, at the expense of the other B1G members. This leaves conference coaches and others wondering what is going on in the B1G in regards to volleyball. Program honesty and competitive fairness should be the hallmark of any conference.

Can Kendall White get defensive player of week for third time in 4 weeks. She was very good against mich state. I think her problem is they have Rutgers today so she probably won’t get as many chances.

I implore the moderators to do something about this person that continues to make slanderous allegations. For the good of the board...whatever that's worth. To the extent these false allegations effect recruiting, reputation damage that effects job status or recruiting (small chance, I know), you should take action as these are potentially damaging and illegal and in the public space. Trust me...recruits know that this is an ILLINOIS fan....and it reflects poorly on Illinois. I feel that I need to set the record straight here. First of all "vawbaw" and "notpriddy (C.O.I.F)" are not the same VT poster. The moderators at VT could easily substantiate this. Also, if any of the very vociferous Wisconsin fans would take the time to check the history of postings by both "notpriddy" and "vawbaw", they would find that it is true that "notpriddy" is a tried and true Illini fan, and that it is more difficult to figure out where "vawbaw's" loyalties lie, maybe for Minnesota. Also, if you check my posting history, you will find that I was one of the first (if not the first) to promote the hiring of Kelly Sheffield once Pete Waite had been let go. As I have posted before I was impressed with Sheffield's Dayton teams when I watched them play Illinois a couple of times (one of those times Dayton was the victor). However, over time, I have become very suspicious of the Wisconsin program under Sheffield. Wisconsin under Sheffield seemed to have a revolving door as far as players coming and going. There always happened to be an available scholarship for any high level player wishing to transfer in, and there were a lot of players (injured and otherwise) that were conveniently leaving allowing this to happen. I was concerned about these things, however, I really became incensed when an intra-conference sophomore player was allowed to transfer into Wisconsin (by the B1G) to shore up a defensive backcourt that was admittedly suspect prior to the transfer. This player would ultimately be the libero for Wisconsin. The reasons for this allowance remain a mystery to everyone in the B1G, since the by-laws state that unless you are one of the schools involved in the transfer (Wisconsin or Michigan), you are not entitled to the reason for skirting the rules. This just seems insane to me, particularly in this situation. Wisconsin benefits and every other conference team gets screwed. I was even more dismayed to find that Wisconsin grads within the B1G were choosing Players of the Week for the conference. What is going on with the B1G? Illinois' previous coach, Kevin Hambly, as well as current AD Josh Whitman, can verify that I have always been concerned about not only fairness to individual athletes, but to competitive fairness within the conference. Apparently, Coach Sheffield, Wisconsin, and the B1G office do not share my concerns.
