guess I should move this comment over here:
Includes an early May Huntington Beach 4 star event. No Long Beach. Seems like a lot of Asian stops this year. 1 in Brazil, 2 in the US, no others in South, Central or North America.

Wow...What an incredible schedule. I wonder how many 4 & 5 star tourneys are going to conflict with AVP & NVL (if there is an NVL)? Donald Sun has plenty of time to set up The AVP’s 10 or 12 tourney schedule for 2018 now that the FIVB has released theirs.

Long Beach wasn’t on the initial schedule last year either. I am assuming sometime in August 2018...

It should get tougher.

Probably the big teams will only participate in th 4* and 5* Major Series. I think thats generally true, with one exception, and it looks like the US got screwed. On May 2-6 there is a four star in Huntington, but also a three star in Turkey. On May 9-12 there is a three star in Switzerland On May 16 there is a four star in Rio Going to Turkey and Switzerland is the same prize money as Huntington and may be an easier trip for some of the European teams (and the chance to play more or less at home) If they go to the US, going back to Lucerne, then to Rio is a haul. I imagine many will choose to do Turkey, Switzerland, (probably a total of 5 hours travel) then Rio. The money is the same and the competition will be less.

I don’t see C&H passing a home court opp to play in HB.
I caution female players to stay away from Muslim countries. Running around playing sports in a bikini makes them an infidel in their eyes, imho. Not worth your life at this time in religious/geo political climates, imho.

Not a fan at all of this schedule. The US tournament in early May is completely obstructed by 3 other major events (Turkey, Switzerland, Brazil). Is the FIVB trying to drive their beach circuit out of service. Playing to new Asian countries not South or North America.
