That's great to hear about their foreign tour. I'm excited to see them play.
Any word on if they are done with transfers? I guess I'm curious if Joe would be going after some other athletes. Ohio State's Ayanna Swan has left their program. She's a former AVCA first-team All America OH from the Richmond area - practically UNC's backyard.

Borup to Oregon? Her post on social is little ducks and says "mood" in green and yellow. Good for her - a great program. I hope it all works out for her!

I think Joe has a complete team but it would not be a surprise if a high caliber like her came open and he pursued it. Glad taylor landed at a place like Oregon. She will fit well there and thrive.
LaGarde and Laufenburg also have been indicated to vastly improving. I think UNC is going to be in good shape this year and really good shape in the years to come.

Puts Fields closer to home and she seems close to her family. Looks like she will be part of the A&M rebuild.

So since the end of the season UNC has lost players to: Florida Penn St Oregon Texas A&M Hawaii Beach
I respect your passion regarding UNC but that is a unprecedented drain in talent in such a short time. I’m not sure even your super positive spin skills are believable when looking through that lens! Wow, just wow!

It definitely stinks to lose players of Big 10 And PAC caliber. You were looking at a potential final four team last year if healthy but now you are looking at a team that looks to get back into the top of acc and into the tournament and climb the ladder back the next few years.

North Carolina is going to have another very strong recruiting class next year. We will go from sparse on the pins to a lot of options.
While we do not have the full schedule yet, we are beginning to see how it is evolving. Wisconsin and Minnesota first weekend in Minneapolis at the site of the 2018 final four then the third weekend UNC goes to Colorado to play Colorado, Oklahoma, and Georgia

Regardless of how talented Cox and Atherton are, I don’t see UNC making much gain in the ACC over last year. There just aren’t many teams that finished above them that lost much to graduation.

I think they will finish higher in the ACC. Last year it was 2 players that really carried the load and the defense was the issue along with setting. This year it seems to be there are a couple of stars but it looks to be more of a team effort instead of relying on a few players. I think that UNC will win some games they shouldn’t and lose some they shouldn’t. I think it will be a gradual reset with a little more success this year followed by more in the next few years. It won’t be an easy turn around but def a process.

It is optimism but it’s also watching the growth of the team through the spring without several major pieces added in and the success they had on parts of their foreign tour. Also, I have seen several times where UNC had a down season and Joe really turns it around the next year because he knows how to coach. I think UNC will finish higher than NCSU, Miami, and Syracuse. NCSu loses key pieces as does Miami in probably their best offensive player in school history. Syracuse returns everyone in their starting line up but even a banged up UNC team took them down and took down acc co champ Louisville as well. Even if UNC doesn’t move up as I think they will, I don’t think you will see them losing to teams such as wake forest and Georgia tech this year.

According to the transfer thread, UNC has snagged University of Pacific player Skylar Wine. She is a 6-2 OH.
