Happy to see Clark on the list. She went from having matches where there was at least one bad set to being nails all the time.
It also helped that Loberg and Haggerty became second ball!

It also helped that Loberg and Haggerty became second ball! It took a while to get that properly straightened out, but it seems to be working better now. I think Clark has benefited. It was interesting listening to Dildine's comments on Clark. She said that she really admired her tenacity and willingness to lay her body down for the team, but early on she was not putting herself in places where she didn't absolutely have to do that to make a play. Her anticipation and positioning have gotten better since about the mid point in the B1G season. She says that's true for a lot of the floor defense, which wasn't really connecting with what the block was doing, or preparing not only for the A scenario, but for the B and C scenarios as well. (Dildine doesn't coach the blockers, but I imagine that Sheff would say the the block was also inconsistent for a time.) Dildine was also sure to point out ME Dodge as an important unsung player. She has gotten much more consistent over time. As Dildine put it, defense is not just her thing, it's something that identifies badger vball. They were not a proper badger team until the defense started coalescing. I personally have been really happy with the progress the latter half of this season, after some really disappointing performances. She expects USD will be defensively tough as well. Badgers will have to win some long points. Let's see if the defense has improved enough to deal with that.

Molly Haggerty featured in the pre-regional State Journal story by Dennis Punzel...
"She has so much swagger in the way she communicates on the court. She’ll go like, ‘Lean on me, I’ve got you guys.’”

There are still discussions needed on our AAs, but I think this is a fitting way to wind down this thread.

Congratulations to Dana, Sydney, Madison, and Tiffany for being 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and HM All Americans, respectively! Super-bummer that Tionna doesn't make a list, but I guess the late-season surge didn't cut it. Still can't say enough about what she's done for our program.

Time goes too fast. That Rettke's career is already half over doesn't feel right

So happy for Dana, Syd, and Tiffany, but an even cooler story that Duello raised her hand for wanting to be an All-American during camp... and then became one!

Wow. Of course Rettke, but Hilley on 2nd team and Duello makes the 3rd!! Way to go ladies!!!! And Clark makes it onto honorable mention.
I remember the story Sheff told of Duello stating at one of the July camps that she intended to become an all american this year. I thought she was going to be improved, but that seemed a stretch. Now here we are! What a great story.
Echo regret that Williams couldn't make it on one of these lists. But she has been an amazing asset to this team despite fighting injuries her whole time here. She was a true warrior.
