plus we don't have room for her correct? Isn't Cook known for magically opening scholarships?

plus we don't have room for her correct? Isn't Cook known for magically opening scholarships? That’s Kelly Sheffield. I can’t think of any scholarship players or starters who have left Nebraska in the past decade because their scholarship got pulled and given to someone else.

Not trying to start anything wasn’t Larson’s scholarship taken away? That’s what I was told by a few people on here.

I see that Lexi Sun is transferring. Any chance she becomes a Husker? One of her reasons for leaving was being homesick. Going to any BIG school would contradict the logic in that statement. She will end up in Cali at USC probably.

Kristen Kelsay's was given to Lauren Cook for the 2010 season, and Lauren Sieckmann's was given to Meghan Haggerty in 2012.

I'm not sure who got the Atherton Scholarship, but the new setter is a walk-on (if i'm not mistaken). they might be eligible for transfer. But Sun likely to be heading to a PAC program.

plus we don't have room for her correct? We have room for one more scholarship,I believe. Nebraska had one spot available before Atherton transferred.

I bet Nebraska's final scholarship goes to another transfer setter this summer.

Wooooo...this thread is going downhill...fast. Mihajlović has killer serves, I don't envy anyone trying to receive her serves, but yeah she is a bit on the inconsistent side sometimes. Natalia....hmmmm....I suppose yeah on good days she might be better than Larson. Hill...I really don't know if she is better than Larson. But KYK, Zhu Ting, Boskovic...yeah I have to say they are better than Larson at this point. Natalia has had a good last 2 years but there’s a reason it took her so long to start on the Brazilian national team. She also struggled with consistency and back row play. Boskovic and Larson play different positions, not really any value in comparing them. All-in-all has 32 y/o Larson declined since her peak (around 28-30)? Yes. Is she out of the upper tier of OHs? Absolutely not. Her all-around play keeps her up there. Larson is actually 31 years of age. She hits 32 in October.

I bet Nebraska's final scholarship goes to another transfer setter this summer. You got anyone in mind? I hope they go two deep in setters, someone who is quality depth. Enough for maybe Cook to consider a two setter system. We have our fair share of outside hitters coming to Nebraska now and into the future. I hear maybe Zuhn could possibly be a middle hitter in 2019. We have six OH/OPP’s for 2018. With no attrition, yes graduation, the number could increase to seven in 2019. I know John Cook definitely prefers a one setter system. Remember, PSU in 2017 had Nebraska at match point with a two setter system. So close, yet so far in the national semi-finals. PSU, I believe, would have beaten Florida if they had gotten to the finals.

plus we don't have room for her correct? Isn't Cook known for magically opening scholarships? They don’t magically appear. You want them to so you can, wrongly, accuse him of running off players. I would bet all these young ladies at the end of the fall season left because of better opportunities of starting/playing time elsewhere. I’m sure that meeting with John Cook where how they fit the next volleyball season isn’t cementing an increase for playing time or chances for starting. But anti-Cook fans are numerous. That’s OK, Nebraska will gladly hang onto him for as long as he wants to lead the program.

Their junior year in 2016 the had Nebraska at match point for sweep in tourney and blew it then also
