Thanks. CAL POLY's coach Crosson has brought in two players,...OH & L. Making a roster total of 16 players. My guess these two freshman are walk-on's.

A lot of depth in this years roster, pretty good transfer but still unsure of what the freshies could contribute.

CAL POLY has continued to extend their Texas connection. Besides the freshman Phillips, coach Crosson will have a returning junior and a transfer soph. all from the lone star state.

Cal Poly was able to red-shirt Anna Reynolds - that's interesting, I didn't think she was injured, but she only played 6 games in blow-out sets taking Nelson out, that's interesting she must have got injured just before conference, if not they wouldn't have been able to red-shirt her

Know some teams call them DS (defense specialist). Might be some shake up after practice starts.

Some of her digs were extraordinary. Just watching her play was worth the cost of admission.

Wondering if running scrimmage matches during practice will be good enough to evaluate who will be the starting setter come August

Wondering if running scrimmage matches during practice will be good enough to evaluate who will be the starting setter come August What other option is available to evaluate? Unfortunately, game experience cannot be duplicated in practice. So, when CAL POLY opens OOC play Aug 24 against Pepperdine in the AM & Pitt in the PM, those first sets are going to be critical. As far as, the play of the setter(s) are concern.
