If you had all four of Hodge, Fawcett, McClendon and A. Scott on a roster, would you really leave McClendon out of the lineup and start Scott at OPP? No offense to Scott (she was terrific), but if I was a Penn State fan, I’d put Fawcett at OPP, hide Hodge in serve-receive as the L1, and ensure McClendon was one of your starting pin hitters (L2). You are hiding Hodge in serve receive to give Mclendon a go on the floor? .... our recent memories of Hodge make be Shankzilla, but by her junior year she was a very steady back row presence in college, frequently passing in a two person serve receive when PSU wasn't losing to ANYONE. Keep Mclendon off the floor, Fawcett should stay on the left, and it should actually be brown at OPP because she is the superior blocker. I remember Deja McClendon as an impressive passer in college, and she played in the B1G at a time when there was more competition. Nothing wrong with letting Walters/Holehouse and McClendon be the primary passers.

PSU 1st Team OH1 Megan Hodge OH2 Nichole Fawcett MH1 Haleigh Washington MH2 Christa Harmotto OPP Ariel Scott S Alisha Glass L Kaleena Walters 2nd team OH1 Simone Lee OH2 Deja McClendon MH1 Arielle Wilson MH2 Lauren Cacciamani OPP Blair Brown S Micha Hancock L D'Errico/Holehouse....but White may replace after 2 more years. btw some really really great players were left off.....but these would be my top 14 draft picks. Going based on their PSU years. Fawcett is the hardest hitting PSU player ever and destroyed things from the left....where she played her career. A Scott stays and was deadly front row and back row from the opp. no change from my 2 top teams.

Not my schools, but these ladies are/were legends: Minnesota S: Berg OPP: Samedy L1: Santana L2: Wilhite M1: Dixon M2: Gibby L: Gentil (because she was a beast in the back row!) Penn State S: Hancock OPP: Fawcett L1: Hodge L2: McClendon M1: Washington or Cacciamani M2: Harmotto L: Walters or Holehouse As a Minnesota fan, completely agree. As a Minnesota fan, how could you omit Cassie Busse at OPP?

Scott was fabu out of the red zone, but I remember her getting subbed out quite a bit to shore up floor defense. I also recall begrudgingly agreeing with Coach Cook whenever he praised Deja McClendon as the nation’s best pin hitter throughout her career...she was indeed a phenomenal talent!

PSU could hide Hodge in SR and still be successful IMO.

Hawaii, No-Show team: S: OH: Jennifer Saleaumua OH: Falyn Fonoimoana MH: Jennifer Fopma MH: OPP: Megan Huff L/DS: Emma Smith Berg at setter? I don't think Berg had any interest in Hawaii. Or Hawaii didn't recruit her because they were out of scholarships. It's like saying Sarah Pavan was on the Hawaii No-Show team.

No, because Lindsey was right there. And I'm pretty sure UH was interested.

As a Minnesota fan how could you omit Cassie Busse at OPP? Because Samedy is REAL. She's also only played one year. No way she should be placed ahead of Cassie. Or Harms for that matter. Give her at least 2 years, preferably 3.

IMO, I think any team will be hard pressed to beat Stanford All Star Team.
You have arguably the most successful OH when it comes to USA indoor volleyball and the greatest beach player of the last decade at the pins, with your choice of a POY, or a robbed POY at the pins (klinekan and nnamani based on peoples choices). A middle Whos top 3 in the world currently and multitude of all americans for the middle. There weakest position is probably setter and even then its better than most teams.
I mean, when youre leaving POY off your list because you have that many, thats how damn good you are.
