IF Stafford/Miles were to happen Miles would have to sign the AVP contract..... that being said, the Stafford/Patterson partnership has to be a little Rocky. I would think Stafford's next stop is Mayer. Miles is not signing the AVP contract!!! Oh the irony, had he qualified for last year's Huntington, woulda signed contract, loses, takes bizarre path to volleyball greatness.

Signing a exclusivity contract for 7 events is holding the players back...Period. End of STORY!!! I don't exactly like the exclusivity agreement either, but there was exactly 2 tournaments that the contract would have not allowed them to play, the NVL tournament and the WSOBV. It didn't affect any other tournament they played and won money in all year. It really doesn't make any sense at this point to not sign the agreement, especially considering the NVL folded. Some of those good players like Miles/Evans, DelSol/Dentler, etc... all held up for promised from the NVL and they were bailed on. IMHO them holding out for this 1440 thing is just becoming stupid, and they are banking the prime of their careers on broken promises, etc. It doesn't even matter if guys like DelSol/Dentler would be middle of the pack players at best case scenario for them, they're going to look back and always wonder because they were holding out for something that did nothing but break promises with them and not materialize. Just really stupid IMHO.

Back to this tournament.....
...seriously, how bad does the future of US Volleyball look, especially considering all the talented youth and under 25 players from all over the country. USA is in real trouble IMO when Phil is done.

donnyw I am with you, an "exclusivity contract" not best for all parties involved.. Period.. Business is business, I get that, but I look at it from a fan perspective, a player perspective. It doesn't check 2 of the 3 boxes..

The 1 tournament from the one league that basically broke their promises with them and folded the tour. After that, I would have been saying f you to anyone involved with that (aka Walsh), and moved over to the AVP.

Is it too late for Miles and Bill to sign with AVP? Or do they want to continue and only compete internationally?

Is it too late for Miles and Bill to sign with AVP? Or do they want to continue and only compete internationally? I am sure they can sign any time. They are becoming an International USA team that is right in the mix with the countless other mid level USA teams right now. Really all unknowns on their team potential. I hope they do good, and if they do, it would be USA's best interest for them to play AVP. I understand it's their decision and can respect that, but really it would continue to help push USA volleyball for them to play AVP.

Is it too late for Miles and Bill to sign with AVP? Or do they want to continue and only compete internationally? Know for a fact that Miles & Bill are not going to sign the AVP contract! They want to be able to play in more than 7 tourneys domestically per year. AVP does not allow that....Players were fools...Should have stuck together...Now it is what it is!

What domestic tournaments were the AVP players not allowed to play last year? NVLs of the past & future p1440 events How many tournaments did the NVL have last year? P1440 has had exactly zero so far. Only way for p1440 to succeed is prize money
