Benedictine hit .300 where carnage hit below .120 What won Benedictine the games was Carthage’s irrelevant middles. They are straight horse s’h’i’t, as well as their inability to pass a float serve. Benedictine minimized their mistakes and capitalized. You are wrong bozo Seems like you’ve had your fair share of juggling Carthage’s chodes Little chode juggler

One of the biggest wins in school history at Hunter today. New Paltz got out coached and out hustled today. The OPP for Hunter is an All American level player when he's on. With only one senior this team is going to be good for the next few years. Just goes to show how good my cougars are since we swept Hunter already!

new paltz going down in 5 at hunter might be one of the biggest upsets this year. Don’t look to see Hunter anywhere near the top 15 though, and I can predict that New Paltz won’t drop very far. The livestream didn’t look to good and both teams missed a lot of serves. If Radu knew how to coach they might’ve won. Pulling their libero in the middle of the fourth set was his only right move. UVC may not be as good as it used to be. I mean losing to CUNY isn’t that embarrasing.

Asking for a friend if you’re the number 3 team in the nation and you lose to an unranked team it is embarrassing. But if you are an unranked team and you beat the number 3 team in the nation it’s a big upset.

Carthage came back down 2-1 to defeat UCSC in 5 sets.
UCSC now has 9 losses with MSOE later this evening.
That is not a good resume for an at large.

1. Springfield 2. New Paltz - Potentially best overall team in the country 3. Carthage - Big weekend against Benedictine and Santa Cruz 4. Stevens - Bad loss to Kean in 3 but rebounded with big win against Stevenson 5. Dominican - Swept Cal Lu and North Central 6. Stevenson - Picked up a big road win against Southern Virginia but got swept by Stevens 7. Kean - Avenged their poor home tournament showing and player revolt week with a sweep of Stevens 8. Benedictine - Big match tomorrow against North Central 9. North Central - Big match tomorrow against Benedictine 10. Southern Virginia - Lost at home to Stevenson which one could have expected, no big matches until Feb 15 against Juniata 11. Endicott - No matches this past week and no big ones until Feb 16 against Nazareth 12. Lancaster Bible - The Nate Miller show is quite impressive 13. MSOE - Having Krisik back this season has been huge, big matchup Feb 15 against Dominican 14. Vassar - Strong showing this past weekend, even though they lost to Springfield they still seem improved from the start of the season 15. UC Santa Cruz - Beat Cal Lu in 5, great week to prove themselves against North Central, Carthage and MSOE 1. Springfield Cons- Blocking is Below Average 2. Carthage- Weekend that put them ahead Cons- Middles are irrelevant 3. Stevens- Did get swept by Kean, but overall back to back sweeps. Great bounce back Cons- Blocking is Below Average4. Dominican- Consistent and impressive start Cons- No service pressure5. Benedictine- Sweep over Cal Lu put them ahead for this weeks rankings and the lack of productivity in other ranked teams. Cons- Overall Needs ImprovementT-6. Kean- I hate putting them here, but sweep against Stevens is worth some nickels. Had a great offensive day, but complete wreck from the service line. Passing is hard to watch. Cons- Offensively InconsistentT-6. Stevenson- nothing worth noting Cons- Middles Irrelevant
7. New Paltz- Wont be surprised if they drop next week, not a team offensively talented. Hit under .200 in a 5 setter against a vulnerable Cal Lu, along with 19 missed serves. Nothing impressive. But still in top 10 Cons- Blocking is Below Average8. North Central- sweep of Cal Lose keeps them in the top 10. Cons- Offense is Below Average9. Lancaster Bible- two sweeps over pity programs, but really do not see them winning any top 10 matchups Cons- Everybody whos name is not Nate Miller10. Endicott- Solid win over Kean, but barely made my list. Cons- Overall Needs Improvement Not worth my time listing anything past top 10. I don't think any team is mentionable with their level of play so far. MSOE can upset, but they wont make any noise after doing. Wont crack top 10 SVU had the mindset of a 10 year old when playing Stevenson. It was kill or error. Maybe don't miss 20 serves, and you will be worth listing top 10. Don’t wanna be that cocky guy but had New Paltz at #7 for a reason. Predicted they’d drop in rankings next week, which is inevitable. Where do I go for my golden sticker

Watching Springfield v. SJC really shows how soft Springfield is this year. The Springfield setter is 10 ply, asks to get subbed out after getting housed. No heart out of the reigning champs and SJC really proved themselves as a team. They hustled and played way harder than Springfield. Taking a set, and if the game was called both ways definitely could’ve taken another, proves this team should be ranked and will be a tough matchup in the tournament. Hope to see SJC get the rank they deserve, and see the Springfield dynasty finally fall.

Quick turnaround thoughts and top 15 after this weekend - Three top 15 teams lost to teams ranked below them or unranked - 8 combined losses by top 15 teams, 3 of them were UCSC 1 - Springfield(1): Until they lose, they will stay put, February 20th they will be tested at New Paltz 2 - Stevens(4): 3-0 on the week, significant week coming up against NYU and Lancaster Bible 3 - Dominican(5): Benefit from the losses ahead of them, getting anxious for their match against Benedictine in two weeks 4 - Stevenson(6): 4 road/neutral top 15 wins on the season, biggest matchup of the MAC season against Arcadia this week 5 - Kean(7): Won a solid matchup against Juniata in 4, even bigger match this weekend against New Paltz, will the coaches revolt against the players this week? 6 - Benedictine(9): Big time road win against Carthage, big match coming up on Friday against North Central 7 - Carthage(2): Bad showing for the Redmen by falling to Benedictine in 4 and going to 5 with UCSC, matches against North Central, MSOE and Dominican in the next couple of weeks 8 - North Central(8): Sweep of Santa Cruz was them taking care of business, huge matchup Friday against Benedictine 9 - SUNY New Paltz(3): 5 set loss to unranked Hunter is very costly to their ranking, will look to rebound against inconsistent Kean this weekend 10 - Endicott(10): Only played 5 matches on the year (Who came up with their schedule?!), their two losses came against Stevens and Stevenson, looking like the favorites in the NECC 11 - Southern Virginia(11): Relatively easy weekend, big match coming up @juniata on Friday 12 - Lancaster Bible(12): Nate Miller stays at 12 after 2-0 week, can he knock off Stevens this weekend? 13 - Juniata(T15): May have lost in 4 to Kean but still performed well, need to prove themselves against Southern Virginia 14 - St. Joseph's (NY)(RV): Played a tough match against Springfield, should have taken that match to 5 15 - Arcadia(RV): Decent enough season so far to get them back to inside top 15, MAC showdown against Stevenson this weekend
