It's hard to determine heights from photos. There are pictures of all three girls individually next to each other and some pictures Hannah looks taller other pictures Tiffany looks taller and the same for Amber. I guess it comes down to where the photos were taken, what shoes they are wearing. If we are honestly going to know the truth put them all in bare feet and up against a wall shoulder to shoulder that will settle it all. If one girl is off by ¼ or ½ inch, does it matter? All I know is that we have some strong front row players with size and talent — something we have not have had in many years. I am looking forward to routing for all of them during the first game of the season even if they are playing or not. I also saw Amber and Tiffany out with each other while with my son who is 6’2 both girls were taller than him. I met both girls and they were very respectful and charming. I’m sure all of our questions will be answered during game day. The image what Hannah had posted both things from training to both normal sneakers and both stood straight. Hannah was greater and not just 1 or 2 cm Curious are you the president of her fan club?

They should utilize her as a backrow player or DS to hit the pipe. Unless she's a Danielson, then by all means put her in. There is too much talent on this Hawaii team, and I think they should put the taller players in the front to get some experience. It's going to payoff down the stretch. Unlike the past two years where the team knew it had a long way to go to hopefully make the tournament, I think this year will be about winning from Day 1 and building the RPI. That means pulling out all the stops, throwing out different looks, and playing the players that can get the win right now against USD and UW. Maybe a little more experimentation in week two.

The Green-White Scrimmage is about to start, and currently the line-ups on both sides look like this: Green - Hanawahine DS, Okino L, Ross OH, Sibley OH, Rasmussen OH, Williams MB, Krug MB, Iosia S White - Van Sickle OH, Westerberg MB, Wagoner L (!), Gong DS, Hellvig OH, Igiede MB, Akana OH, Choy S Currently, the white team is up 15-10, and now Iosia and Choy have switched teams, and the scoreboard has been reset. --- After the planned switch, Iosia's white team wins set 2, 16-14. Man, these freshmen are really giving the returnees a run for their money. --- Couple of Side Switches: Iosia S, Van Sickle OH, Hanawahine L, Igiede MB, Westerberg MB, Wagoner OH, Gong DS, Hellvig OH Choy S, Sibley OH, Okino L, Williams MB, Ross OH, Rasmussen OH, Akana MB Choy's team wins set 3, 15-13 --- New teams: Iosia S, Van Sickle OH, Ross OH, Sibley OH, Igiede MB, Williams MB, Hanawahine L, Rasmussen OH Choy S, Hellvig OH, Okino L, Gong DS, Westerberg MB, Akana OH, Krug MB, Wagoner OH Akana switched to MB and Westerberg switched to OH Iosia's Team won 25-21 According to Cindy, so far there has been some impressive hitting by Hellvig, Westerberg, Akana, and Igiede (LOL, poor Wagoner), along with newcomers Rasmussen and Van Sickle. --- Team with Iosia jumped out from 15-14 to 21-15 lead. Choy switched and behind Hellvig’s serving, closed it out 25-15 in set 5. --- For live updates, here's the link on Cindy's blog: www.hawaiiwarriorworld.com/rainbow-wahine-volleyball/wahine-volleyball-live-blog-for-green-white-scrimmage/

Are they meant to be even, so that, for example, the OH on Rasmussen's team is likely not a starter? Or is there another way teams are chosen? *Edit* Teams are being switched up, so I guess not.

Looks like the Green team are returnees + Kyra and Jolie, all who played against Texas. The White team are Freshman and BVS (who arrived after the TX match) + Gong.

I bet only the coaches kept detailed stats. I’d love to get my hands on those.
It’s interesting that the freshmen team outplayed the returnee team regardless of whether Choy or Iosia was setting, although Choy did better.
Just looking at the Setter and OH combos:
For all 4 sets, the coaches kept the OH combo of Rasmussen, Ross, and Sibley. They didn’t fare so well in sets 1 and 2, but did better in sets 3 and 4.
In set 3, Choy’s team won by a small margin with an OH combo of Rasmussen, Sibley, and Ross, which I find interesting because I don’t equate Sibley and Ross with “firepower.”
In set 4, Iosia got Rasmussen, Sibley, Ross, and also Van Sickle and won the set.

It looks like the coaches planned out the lineups carefully of veterans vs. freshmen, with Iosia and Choy switching sides from set to set. They also moved Van Sickle, Krug, and Akana from team to team, but overall, the lineups were stable. Freshmen took sets 1 and 2, although these only went to 15, while veterans took sets 3 and 4, which went 15 and 25 respectively. Not sure about set 5.

I was confused about the line-up for set 5 because I was assuming that it was the same line-up as set 4, but then it was cited that Iosia's team led 15-14, and then 21-15. At that point, Choy switched sides, and they closed the set out 25-15 behind Hellvig's serving, which means that Hanna started in set 5 on Iosia's team? Unless, Robyn did what she did in sets 1 and 2, and she simply switched Iosia and Choy.
