If RAMS does bring in another OH, that to me will signify that she intends to keep both Amber and Tiffany in the Middle when they arrive. Imo I like this idea. We need tall and athletic presence in the middle.

If Lines is reading this thread, here's the sales pitch: Great weather year round Nice beaches
Great beach VB team
7000+ attendance per match
Renovated facilities and locker rooms Transfer players thrive in Hawaii No crazy wild fires! Hawaii voted happiest state in US by WalletHub We have the best food, just not in the SSC lol
Honestly, the pros and cons of living in Hawaii -- from an unbiased person (me) who lived there for 10 years and still own a house there but who now live in California: PRO: 1. Good weather. Hot in the summer, but not blistering hot like in Arizona and Nevada or humid hot like in Florida and the Deep South. Winter is mild and comfortable. Seriously, the locals think low-70s is freezing. Bring sunscreen. 2. Lots of diversity, unless you want to see only White faces (then this place isn't for you). 3. Lots of new culture to adapt to, unless you want to stick to White America baseball, hot dogs, and apple pie culture (then this place isn't for you) 4. Volleyball is HUGE! This means, if you suck, a gang of evil posters on VT will throw you under the bus. If you're awesome, you'll be treated like royalty and approach rock star status on campus. 5. Relaxed and laid back atmosphere. On the flip side, it may make you lose your edge. 6. Beautiful beaches, not like the crappy beaches in California, Texas, and Florida. 7. I think the campus is beautiful with lots of upgrades everywhere. CON: 1. Island fever. If you don't know what this is, don't worry, you'll feel it after a few months. This means, a restless feeling of being stuck on an island with nothing to do and nowhere to go and wanting desperately to leave. Pretty soon, you'll get annoyed with everybody around you. 2. The weather is boring. Always the same beautiful sunshine with occasional rain. No snow. 3. The traffic. Way too many bad drivers and tourists driving way too many cars on way too many narrow roads. 4. If you're not careful, you could end up on the "bad" side of the island. 5. Pidgin. Some people are okay with it, others are annoyed by it. 6. High cost of living. Too many things are way too expensive. 7. Campus is lovely but it lacks world class facilities and resources that you'd commonly find in B1G, SEC, ACC, and PAc12 schools. 8. Cockroaches the size of a burrito. Mosquitoes everywhere. Ants with jaws that take a chunk of your flesh if you walk barefoot on the grass. Basically, tropical island living. All right lets not scare away Ms. Lines with exaggerated bug behavior or size, a species of roach that roams here can grow to the size of a key fob, hit em with a shot of Raid and they're gone. Ants look like those you'll find anywhere else and they won't take a chunk out of your flesh...watcha been smoking wolf? If you leave food stuff out, the ants will have a picnic eventually. Because of rainfall which keeps our islands green, there are mosquitoes that can breed in still water like pots, buckets, gutters that need cleaning etc. Not sure what "bad" side of the island is, never ran into it or saw it. I'm a resident transplant from Ohio and I love living here, no place like it.

Don't think Robyn was going to move Westerberg or Amber, regardless if lines comes or not. We have enough Pin Depth where IMO, where they would be able to stay in the middle.
Williams will man one of those spots, and dont count krug out. I think itll go to westerberg but we will have some really good middle depth this up coming year.

UH athletes come out to the Westside all the time....if that is what you meant by "bad side." In fact, the womens sand volleyball teams makes it annually to come all the way out to Makaha to host practices there. Ask Stijn and he has mentioned numerous times that his favorite place on Oahu is on the Westside. In fact, the entire mens volleyball team camped out all the way at Yokohama bay during the off season. Visit many of the UH athletes instagram pages, they are on that side more than you would believe. Lol As long as you embrace it, most westsiders won't even bother you much less care.

Large amount of development on the leeward the past 10 years. But, most tourists still avoid it. So, in a way, that makes it the 'good' side of the island. Don't tell anyone.

The west side have some awesome beaches. Some of the sandbows posted pictures of themselves cliff diving ,free diving, swimming, etc....on their Instagram.
The men’s and the sandbows had .mixed team play there. Town beaches too crowded for these players to hang out.

Seems like Jolie and Kyra are getting along well with Norene and Skyler. Robyn probably got those four together and let them know that they will be the leaders of the team and will be counted on to provide leadership. Robyn will rely on them to get the girls together for open gym, get them to work out and maybe be even hang out to foster team chemistry since the coaches can only spend so much time with the players. Joe Worsley and SVT does a great job with them men’s team. They have great chemistry off and on the court.

If anyone cares, Nikki Taylor is doing a great job in Finland so far. Believe she won her League's player of the month.
