Wow, I'm glad that the team will get to play some quality teams during this spring. Texas, USC, and Pepperdine are great teams to play against! I just hope there will be a stream or something for the matches at Pepperdine (although there probably isn't going to be any).

Who the hell is Point Loma? Never heard of them.
The press release doesn't address the small roster size and how they're going to field a team with one middle (Skyler Williams) only, with the other middle (Kamalei Krug) out due to surgery.

Most likely seniors from last years team. Kind of defeats the purpose of a spring match but it is what it is. Excited to see Jolie show off her stuff.

Are Burns, Liva, and Castillo not in school?, They've played spring matches with seniors in the past....

Mind blowing to think that aside from Noreen, Jolie, and whichever smurf ends up at libero, most of our potential starting unit is still in high school. Curious to see how Sky compares with the incoming class of middles, IMO she is not a lock at middle for next season, she needs to stay healthy (injury prone) and elevate her game. Igiede and Westerberg are big athletic girls with big arm swings and they look physical. All they're missing is D1 experience. Looking forward to next season...only 5 months away folks.

Sky is a lock for sure. there is no way she is nt on the floor. Sibley IMO is also a leading candidate for one of the pins. IMO We will see at most, 3 freshman playing, but in all honesty, most likely two and thats at one of the middles and one of the pins

Now we know why it may have taken a little longer to announcement the spring game. It was because they were locking up loose ends perhaps with the outer island clinics and what not.

Sibley sucks and always will suck, She’s not D1 caliber. Past 3 years is proof enough. Williams will start the season at middle, but can she stay there, that depends on her health and the quality of what comes thru the door.

People, these will be exhibition matches, so the Wahine only need 6 players, which is what they have. Meaning, Robyn only needs 1 OH, 1 Middle, and 1 OPP. Do not see these players rotating to the back row. Jolie, Sky, and Kirsten will remain in the front row throughout each set. The only change maybe putting in McKenna Ross at either OH, or OPP, to give Jolie, or Kirsten a rest bit.
As far as this coming season goes, there are only two players that are guaranteed starting positions, Jolie (OH1), and Noreen (S). All other returning players will have to battle for Starting Positions, and playing time, with the incoming players. There could be up to 5 incoming players starting, if the returning players do not up their game. At least that is the way I see it.

She is not a lock on a starting Middle position. If she does not up her game she could find herself on the sideline looking in. What will help Sky is playing in these Spring exhibition matches. She needs to show Robyn that she wants to be one of the starting middles.

If she does not up her game BIG TIME, she could find herself on the sidelines during her Senior Year. Right now, Akana, and even Westerberg are better then Sibley is at Opposite, and they have not played yet in D1.
