This was an accident, but if you can't do the kicks safely or "fake-ily" then maybe you shouldn't be doing them. As boring as I find the Bella Twins I can forgive this mistake. Women have a much smaller kick zone to land, above the breast and below the neck, the first kick was obviously an accident, Brie did land that one too high. There’s less than two seconds between the first kick to the skull and the second to the nose and Liv (unconscious) fell into the second kick, I highly doubt Brie had enough time to comprehend and adjust. If anything, whoever was backstage in guerilla should be at fault for not immediately telling the referee to stop the match and get Liv out of there before continuing the match.

Thank you to you all for your replies.
NebraskaVBfan93, my deepest condolences to you. Please stay strong.
HawkAttack, I'd like to think if that had been a house show, they would've stopped the match right then.
The wind has gone down today, but it's still cold with a lot of moisture in the air.
Bengals play the Steelers this week. We'll see if they can get over that hump.

I have to travel to Madison, Wisconsin several times a year for my job--I drive it so I go through Iowa City and Dubuque usually. Eastern Iowa is way prettier than western Iowa (I live in Omaha). My husband met a lovely woman from Mount Vernon, Iowa a few years ago. She could not have been a better ambassador for that small town. It is absolutely beautiful and has great restaurants and stores and such--amazing stories as well. Cornell College is located there, it is truly like Mayberry. Madison is also a great place, I would love to see a volleyball game there, the campus is beautiful, but I just can't get behind the team-if not Nebraska, I'll take Minnesota for the win.

I assume you take 151,vbmom10. If so, you go past my hometown of Cascade.
A few years ago, Cascade's conference had their indoor track meet at Cornell . I had a wonderful time covering those events.

So you all know more about volleyball than I do...
Is serving really bad this year or am I imagining things?

Wwe is scheduled to have a November show in Saudi Arabia, but are under increasing pressure from fans and even some politicians to cancel after recent events.
This would be the second Saudi Arabia show this year. The April show was preceded with critcism about none of WWE's women being allowed to perform.
Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer is reporting that as of this afternoon, the show is still on.

So you all know more about volleyball than I do... Is serving really bad this year or am I imagining things? Yes, (generally) serving is becoming more and more of a lost art. *THIS is interesting, over here on the "off-the-net" side of the VT-vb 'veil'!* I have only posted over on this side of the boards in one thread: long-forgotten: plus, long ago. I live in Hawai'i, where "talking story" is a Big Part of our way-of-being, plus our lifestyle. I have found the people over in VT to be very non-talk-story-like. I am a former player/ass't. coach; I answered the "serving really bad" Q from that perspective. I found some of the posts here (particularly the WWE ones) pretty funny: in a good way. Used to watch 'rassling a TON when I was a kid (Haystack Calhoon mean anything to y'all?). I feel that open-communication, and storytelling, is becoming lost in our ever-increasing cyber/social media world. THAT'S a shame! Came from a storytelling family. Aloha es, (generally)

So WWE announced today they're going ahead with their November Saudi Arabia show. They're receiving a lot of backlash on Twitter and I'm sure other places.
But I just can't work up outrage over their decision. I will say it was dumb of them to sign a 10-year deal to put on shows in that country. But $45 million over a decade is difficult to say no to.

I'm not much into horror movies other than the ones involving nuclear war. So for Halloween, here is The Day After, which was aired 35 years ago next month.

Dubuque...wasn't "The Field of Dreams" starring Kevin Costner filmed there? And what's with Costner and baseball movies anyway? Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, For the Love of the Game, etc...
Kevin Costner LOVES baseball. If his college team (I believe Cal Poly) made the World Series, he is definitely in Omaha that year. Seen him a couple times there. I think the year his movie "love of the game" came out, he rented a movie theater and treated the team.
