Stevie ran all the kids and recruits away, there’s a difference between that and leaving the cupboard bare. Every kid that could have an impact transferred or was asked to leave. All those kids started/start at power 5 schools. The cupboard wouldn’t have been bare. No. It was bare. In addition to Gardner, they lost 3more starters to graduation - basically all of their impact players. Only 1 impact player transferred before 2016 (Bailey) and there were no impact players coming in - they actually ended up netting out better because the new staff brought in transfer Okaro, who was by far the best player. ASU was not left in good shape. Mussie made it worse by driving off a lot of the starters who were left (I'm not defending her at all), but ASU was going to take a nosedive even if Watson stayed. Yes graduating 60% of your offense and defense will make you take a hit. Bailey left, so did Pickrell, the latter starting at setter at NC State, MacLean started at TCU, Huizenga at Cal. Solid recruits in the 16/17/18 classes who are not at asu currently, but in the Big 12, SEC, WCC. 2016 was going to be rough, but 17/18/19 were on track to be good had he stayed.

You say it as if every recruit was going to say no to Jason, after 4 straight trips to the tournament.

Is it just me or did any of you read that as GORED FOXES? Am I just THAT sadistic? Also, Sean was never the Head Coach at Springfield, or am I wrong there? I thought he played and was an assistant under Charlie. Again, am I wrong? Springfield; E. Stroutburgs; Rutger-Newark, OSU; WVU; UoM...am I wrong?

Sounds like UL-Monroe will be looking for a new assistant coach for the fall. Current assistant works with both beach and indoor. Could be a good job for someone looking for a bridge between both.
